Sandy Beach (Shearer Park)

This used to be an amazing beach and lake. It used to be a mining pit and the minerals made the water look aqua blue. It looked like the ocean. It was beautiful. Over time more people started to come to the beach as well as birds and animals. The water is pretty dirty and there are alerts that state the water is unsafe to swim. I believe it's important that over the last few years there have been sand fleas here as well. Not a giant deal but they cause these little red dots on your body. The majority of the pollution is from the geese that land and hang out on the beach front. It gets INSANELY busy during the summer now due to being a commonly popular place online. Just keep an eye out for the warning from the municipality and signs that are posted at the beach. If you catch it on a good day it's a fantastic place to spend the day with your family.

Très belle plage, on peut marcher très loin dans l’eau avec un beau sable doux. Arbre pour offrir de l’ombre dans une section gazonné.
