Quiet place to study. Computer science library available for cpsc students. Perfect meeting rooms. There are several computer labs ready to use. Coffee place is nearby.

This place is honestly a MAZE! Super hard to actually find which room you want to get into. But regardless, there are project rooms that you can use and you get to book a project rooms (maximum 6 hours per week!). After 5 pm, you will need to have access (you get access if you are a staff or a computer science student).

The CS program at UBC has some great courses, and all the profs I've had for CPSC courses were very good as well. However, the registration really is something else. I'm a third year CPSC major (at the time of posting this), yet I have been unable to register into CPSC 310 because there were only restricted seats left by the time my registration opened, and for some reason I didn't meet those restrictions. I understand that there is a lot of demand for this course, but this is a *required* course for a CS degree, and in my opinion this should not be happening to any third or fourth year student majoring in CS. Unfortunately, this registration experience makes this automatically get 1 star.

The computer science department at UBC is top notch. They are very high ranked in the world. The best thing about the program is that you can get paid as a research assistant and as a teaching assistant. The difference is that you get paid 2 times as much. Other universities just pay one stipend.

Clean working environment, and relatively quite, making it a good place to study.Large range in facilities, and comfortable chairs to sit on. Group meeting rooms are also available to be booked for private study areas.Building can get quite crowded during the day, leading to a lack of outlets and seating.
