I have been going here for years and have had so many issues. As well as with my children. They have made some terrible comments regarding them. It has gone so downhill. It seems to me that they just don't care about the people like they used to. The quality of service is just like.... next"....."

I had been a loyal patient at their dental practice for several years. While the staff demonstrated excellent customer service, I unfortunately endured a significant level of neglect in the care of my teeth due to the dentist's negligence. During each routine visit, I consistently discovered 6-8 cavities, leaving me perplexed as to the cause and making me question whether it was somehow my fault. However, after relocating and switching to a new dentist, it was revealed that my previous dental work had been inadequate, resulting in the growth of multiple cavities on top of poorly done fillings. Since transitioning to my current dentist, I have remained cavity-free for over a year. Although I cannot definitively determine the motivation behind their actions, I can't help but wonder if my status as a First Nations individual, with coverage for dental services, led them to assume they could profit from additional visits. Regardless, this experience was deeply distressing for me.

Look, none of us WANTS to go to the dentist's office but Emory and the staff are unfailingly compassionate, caring and skilled. I count myself very fortunate to be in their hands.

Excellent Dental practice. I've been going to Don and now Emery for 30 years. They are very good at what they do. Highly recommend.

I can't think of anyone that LOVES going to the dentist but I have to admit, Dr. Bland, his wife Mary, dental assistant Ruth and the rest of the wonderful staff make it as enjoyable and comfortable as humanly possible. Everyone there is warm and kind and even Max the office mascot dog makes you feel welcome.I moved to Gibsons in late 2012 and have found a huge difference in the gentleness and care that Dr, Band provides. No more gripping the chair arms so hard I have muscle knots and no more sore neck from pushing my head back in to the headrest trying to get away from the pain.Thank you kindly for your expertise, your gentle ways and for how much you and the staff care about the procedures outcome!

I have been known to bolt from dentists chairs mid-appointment...in the past. Now I am lucky enough to have Mary and Don, and now Emery to look after my teeth....everyone there is fantastic. Did I mention compassion? They have buckets of it. Do yourself a favour, especially if you are the nervous type in the chair....these folks are as good as you could imagine.

Four grown kids, one wife and me. For 29 years the Blands and their amazing staff have provided our family with stellar care. Other health care providers would do welll to visit this office and take some notes.

I have had nothing but amazing experiences from the Dr. Bland team. I had my wisdom teeth removed here in 2016 and they made me feel extremely welcome and comfortable, and then had a cleaning very recently and they are pleasant to deal with everytime. They are non-judgmental and help you feel valued.When I asked about options for corrections, they assist in giving information that is relevant and helpful.Thank you again and will be seeing you all soon.

This dentist has left my children fallen through the cracks numerous times. They charged my insurance for a spacer that was NEVER put in my sons mouth. My daughter has a spacer out in yet is unsble to get it checked up on after being in her mouth over a year. They reffered us to another dentist just to have that dentist send us back to them, to then have them tell us they only have myself and my son booked but not my two oldest, when I always book all 4 together. When this mistake was seen i was told my young children would need to wait 1 year for a checking and clean up. This is ABSURD. I feel we were constantly pushed away as customers. My last appointment my phone died on the way while I was on the ferry, by the time my phone charged and I was exiting the ferry they cancelled my appointment, three hours prior to my appointment. The staff knows we moved to texada. They know powell river isnt taking patients. I pulled my kids from school to take two ferries both ways for NOTHING. The cost to travel to this dentist now TWO times to have them waste my time and money is exhausting. Having them stress my son needs a spacer, i have his dad bring him in to be charged on my insurance and have my kid come home with no spacer! To have them put a spacer in my daughter, cancel her appointment i booked 6 months in advance, and then tell me she needs to wait a year for a check up and cleaning, so no one wants to check this spacer they put in her mouth? Just leave it in there almost 2 years and hope for the best. Your busy I get it, but Id make sure the CHILDREN that I already took on as patients were all good before taking on new patients. I feel my time and money have been wasted several times. I feel my children are being swept under the rug. I feel the communication with the dentist himself should be better. I feel that if they put in that spacer why no concern to check it? I now get to travel even further, for dental care for theese young kids Not acceptable in my opinion.
