Joey shipyard is located in a beautiful spot by the water with a nice patio and a view of downtown. Staff are super friendly. Food quality is good. Their guacamole is really delicious. The chicken lettuce wrap is really delicious. They have a nice variety of wine. The tables are a bit too close to each other which makes it a little bit tight. Their up stairs and patio is generally better than the first floor.

This restaurant is always interesting. Obviously, in the warmer summer months, it is at its height, but even in the winter months, it’s a lovely venue. Incredible view, great atmosphere and within walking distance of our home. The serving staff and the location is what makes this place. Our servers name was Claire and she was awesome and very attentive. So, why did I give it 3 stars? This restaurant is all show, playing on its atmosphere. The food is okay but it’s over priced for what you get and to be honest, their happy hour is way too short and not a lot of options compared to the neighbourhood restaurants. For example, tonight I got the yellowfin tuna salad for $26. There was about 5 to 6 tiny pieces of tuna, and the rest of the salad was filler. That’s a lot of money for a bunch of salad. My husband is a fish taco aficionado, and they have definitely gone downhill with their fish tacos. There used to be tangy sauce, crispy stuff and some cabbage, now they are iceberg lettuce, and barely crispy insides. My advice is that you have some competition coming in the next couple of months down at lower Lonsdale so you need to step up your game on the food front. The locals will support you, but only for a certain period of time and then they will drop you like a bad date! Get a better, more affordable, happy hour with affordable wine choices on your wine list and go back to the original good food and good taste.

Attended twice with family during a recent visit from U.K., this place was buzzing, and busy, with a fabulous location for evening views over to Downtown Vancouver. The food was fabulous particularly the appetisers and we were well attended to by a fellow Brit, friendly and professional waiter Ollie Win who made our visits memorable and provided superb recommendations. Thank you.

First of all, staff were super friendly which really added to the experience. The fact that they have happy hour even on weekends is actually exceptional! Drinks were reasonable and nice. Food was also really good, it seemed fresh and made with love. Interior was impressive as well!

We arrived just a little too early for Happy Hour. The outside seating was full, but we only had to wait 15 minutes, which passed quickly as they gave each of us a complimentary glass of Cava - which was a very nice gesture and quite unexpected. We were seated on the upper deck with a wonderful panorama of the harbour. My partner and I had sushi which looked unlike any sushi I had seen before. Yellow Fin tuna salad for my sister and a Poke Bowl for her husband. All pronounced excellent. I got green tea to go with my sushi. Service was friendly. At the end of the meal it turned out that there had been a mix up between us and an adjacent table and for one brief shining moment it looked like someone else had paid our bill. Sadly that was not the case, but I will continue to live in hopes it will one day.

Always a good experience, it’s one of our usual work lunch spots. Sometimes while you’re waiting they’ll serve up a bubbly refreshment.Pros-The VIEW! Esp from the patio. There’s a boardwalk for a nice stroll after your meal.Food is creative and a mouthful of flavors for my 3 favourite dishes pictured. Thou it’d be great if the butter chicken came with a bit more rice or naan bread to soak up all that sauce.Friendly staffCons-Certain days are quite busy so you may want to call ahead.Pay parking underground unless you manage to find parking up the street towards Lonsdale.
