Kaizen Martial Arts

I have been training Karate for almost 10 years now and about 6 to 7 years were spent training with Kaizen Martial Arts. Sensei Rui Castro and Sensei Robert Castro taught me some very invaluable lessons that have helped me throughout every aspect of my life. They taught me to push past my limits, to persevere in difficult situations, to think before I act and also to always be humble. They have also helped me in many of my schooling endeavors as well. One time Sensei Robert took time out of his day to come and perform with me at my Highschool's Talent show and we were the most popular performance there. Other than that they offered volunteer opportunities, in which I gained experience in teaching, while also accomplishing the volunteering hours requirement in a unique way. I regret that I am unable to train with them all the time but, when I came out to University in Manitoba I had extremely high expectations for the type training I wanted to receive and because of this, I was able to find a Karate school with similar ideologies and because of the training I received from Sensei Rui and Sensei Robert I was able to get my 1st Degree black belt in Shito-Ryu Karate. I always make it my number one mission to go back and train with Sensei Rui and Sensei Rob whenever I come back to Ontario. So for anyone looking to find a great place to get fit, learn to be disciplined, make new friends or even learn some self-defense, I definitely recommend attending and trying out a class with Kaizen Martial Arts.

Amazing place to learn some practical striking! Great for both self defense and competition! Very welcoming to outside styles, myself coming from a wrestling background, Rob has made it very welcoming for me to train and helped me to adapt as well as apply his technique in very efficient ways! I highly recommend this spot to anyone with varying levels of experience and background!

I'm very please to come across kaizen martial arts. I drive from etobicoke to Brampton because it is great martial art, they are good at teaching, funny and much more. Also price is great.

My son had such a great experience at Kaizen Martial Arts. The attention given from everyone at the dojo was amazing! We participated in 2 or 3 tournaments and my son's growth was incredible with each one. The development of technical and life skills was definitely seen. I’ve been training here for 4 years and have seen excellent improvement physically , the technique that is taught is really helpful. The instructors are really hard working people and will push you to your limit. I really recommend this dojo and hope to see more people join the kaizen martial arts community.

Rob and Rui are amazing teachers and people. They really care about their students growth and well-being. I like the fact that they are not only great at teaching you how to do the movements properly by both breaking it down and using the perfect analogies but are also good explaining the why behind everything. If you're looking to grow as a person and martial artist then this the place to be.

Kaizen martial arts is a wonderful dojo. Training there is enjoyable and it is a pleasure learning from Sensei Rui and Rob. I have been learning a lot and feel more confident every day.

This place is a wonderful dojo with inspirational teachers! The teachers teach with time and effort and care about the students and their dedication with a positive attitude! The teachers work very hard in order for each student to be successful! Moreover, the teachers are very friendly and disciplined. This dojo gives opportunities for students to have seminars with professionals. This karate dojo has a great space to learn karate!
