If I could, would rate 10 stars! Opted to have brunch here for the most perfect mother's day weather during our stay in Gibsons. Lovely patio area with the best view in Gibsons! The food was wonderful and beautifully presented! Mimosas were equally as awesome with pineapple, grapefruit and OJ options. They were even so kind as to give us one of the best tables on the patio! Don't miss this spot if you're visiting the area! Reservations highly recommended in the nicer months! Bill was about $90 CAD for 3 meals/drinks.

No non-sense breakfast with an amazing view. You can tell they put work into making a diverse brunch menu. The coffee was also excellent. A must try if you visiting the area.

Dinner at Drift is one of my favourite places on the Coast! Tim, the owner, is so thoughtful and helpful and the food is incredible every time. Don't miss this spot, especially during winter when you're looking for a delicious (and creative) meal - you'll leave feeling completely satisfied every time and you'll get to enjoy high quality local ingredients, as well as a solid cocktail and local craft beer list. Fantastic Ceasar too. 10/10.

We were looking forward to waffles and arrived 40 mins before they closed. After they took our order we waited patiently for over 50 mins before deciding it was best we ask when our order was going to be ready.Oh

Brunch here was excellent. The gin caesar was fantastic and the food was great. The bacon on the Benedict was thick cut, homemade biscuits were a first for me and paired very nicely with the hollandaise sauce. The eggs were poached perfectly and the meal was was enjoyed alongside a lovely view. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Definitely will come back and highly recommend.

NOT KID FRIENDLY, NOT FLEXIBLE, RUDE MANAGERMy husband and I went to Drift cafe back in 2020 on our first trip to Sunshine Coast and it was great, great food and staff. We decided to come back yesterday, now with our 3 month old daughter to celebrate my husband first Father’s Day and it was a terrible experience. We were “greeted” at the door by what felt like the manager telling me I couldn’t come in with my daughter’s stroller because of their narrow hallways. The restaurant was pretty much empty with a lot of room and we were seated at the patio on a corner table where we clearly could have parked the stroller without being on anybody’s way.He just didn’t want to try or listen to me when I tried explaining that:1) my daughter is not old enough to seat on a high chair2) without the stroller I had to eat with her on my arms3) I could have folded the stroller to pass through the restaurant to the patio and open it again to park on our table side (again, the restaurant was empty and even without folding it we could have maneuvered the stroller)I regret staying, we all felt humiliated. We brought my mother in law from Brazil and sister from Saskatoon because we told them how great the Drift cafe was. After all, the food couldn’t taste great anymore. I’m now wondering if they would turn down customers on wheelchairs as well?Update after owner’s answer:I have attached a picture of my so called “massive stroller” and the reason why I compared to a wheelchair is because my stroller is a compact smaller size and like I said it could be folded even smaller if the owner had tried to find a solution.I really don’t feel like every situation should be dealt with the same way, I understand that on a busy day that might have been a challenge. Yesterday was definitely NOT.We got the car seat from the car, not the stroller seat (that would’ve been impossible to seat on a chair). Which by the way was occupying way more space than a stroller. For someone who has kids you probably know that for a sleeping baby a stroller is more comfortable than a car seat (hence my daughter ended up sleeping on my arms instead of car seat). To be clear we are upset with the way the situation was handled and the owners lack of empathy.I did try to find the owner before leaving to let him know how frustrating our experience was, however he was not around when we were leaving.

We visited Drift for dinner and had a fantastic time - all the dishes were very tasty and the meat/fish cooked to perfection; we started with the ceviche and then ordered the pork tomahawk, slow cooked beef and the steelhead fish. The owner was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Not to mention the lovely views of the harbour!

went for brunch twice in three days!the bacon eggs benedict is SOOO good; bacon was thick, perfect eggs, hollandaise sauce was so delicious, roasted potatoes were crispy and soft, and salad was light and fresh and helped cut any richness. I felt very content at the end of the meal, and it wasn’t too heavy. service was great too! owner is very friendly.also, a gorgeous view of the water to be enjoyed.
