The Rose & Thistle
This pub is close to the Sanderson Centre in Brantford. Had a show at 7 pm. Went in for supper at 5:45. Ended up leaving because by 6:40 pm we still had not received our food. They do have a reasonable selection of Irish beer on tap though.

Visited this place last night for karaoke. I asked the DJ to play a song and he told me to “f” off and told me I ruined the show. He then said he wanted to “f” my mother. He put his hands on me multiple times and grabbed my arms leaving bruising. The owner of the bar (older lady who plays in the band with this guy) backed him up and put her hands on me as well. A lot of the people at the bar stood up for me and cops were eventually called after I had left. I’m just astonished with the disrespect and the way these people spoke to me. I have it all on video. Also many drafts on tap weren’t available. Will never visit this place again. Wish I could have given ZERO stars.

The experience was poor. Chose to do dinner before theater. Placed order about 530. Order not ready by 7. 1 tables order ahead of us. At 715 got 4 orders to go. 3 were same order buffalo chicken wraps. Found out 1 cook in. Fries when we got to eat 2 orders overly done 2 almost not cooked. Unacceptable. Wraps were very soggy.

Very disappointed with our visit. Won't be going back. We didn't even get our dinner after waiting almost an hour. I was going to take it home but when I was told that it shouldn't have taken so long but the cook was new and wasn't used to it being busy! There were only 4 or 5 tables. I also was not confident that the food would be satisfactory as the waitress said the cook was new and then tried to say well not really that new! A take-out order was filled before our order. It couldn't have been placed before our order as we got there at 5:00 when they opened. This was the only restaurant my husband liked to go to, so I guess no more restaurant experiences for us!

came for karaoke on a Saturday night and they took my water bottle I had cuz im pregnant trying to stay hydrated and brought me a cup of water but yet if I have to go throw up on the bathroom I can't take this cup with me unlike my bottle and nor could I bring the cup outside for a smoke unlike my bottle need to consider health conditions like pregnancy, diabetes and others, I had another customer tell me they were diabetic and they took his water to

The staff was wonderful! Very friendly staff . I was at a birthday party there so I was eating a salad and drinking a bit of wine. I had a Ceasar salad..which was very well made and the wine was good. Theygave me a full glass not half a glass like they do in most restaurants or bars. Over all they get 5 stars. I had a wonderful experience there. I would recommend this Pub to anyone.

Great atmosphere and bartender. 4 out of 5 only because I haven't ordered food there or seen anyone order it. All in all a great place to stop by for a few drinks.

Such a friendly environment. I was always sceptical of the area, but this place has such a welcoming aura. Karaoke nights on Wednesday nights is my personal favorite. Would highly recommend this place to any karaoke bar lover!
