I would highly recommend Comfort One Pet Grooming. My dog Shadow Moon is shy and has anxiety around handling. Hiroko is gentle, patient and she provides lots of great information on what I can do to help Shadow get more comfortable with handling. I appreciate that she never pushes her out of her comfort and Shadow gets excited when Hiroko comes over. Comfort One Pet Grooming works to make grooming a fear free experience for your companion.

Our little boy Jake (4 months) had is first cut with Hiroko at the start of summer, during the COVID isolation.For Jake, it was a great experience. Hiroko gave him treats, slowly conditioned him to the equipment, and gave him an excellent cut that he loves! Hiroko took his stress and well being as a priority and we could not be more thankful. When she was finished, we had a happy, bouncy boy who just wanted to play and bounce around, not cower and run away.For us, Hiroko was extremely professional and we loved having her in our home. She let us know in advance there would be a strict six-foot separation between us, wore gloves and a mask the entire time, and thoroughly cleaned all surfaces before and after (including the hair). We didn't have to sit nearby, watch, or comfort Jake, allowing us to work in our offices without a concern.All three of us would love to have her back to cut Jake's hair again!

What a wonderful and caring groomer! My dog is easily excited and anxious with grooming, and we often get complaints that he doesn’t stay still. Hiroko managed to reduce his stress over the session and keep him still, by using positive reinforcement, fear and force free techniques. I also really liked how she shared feedback and videos of how the session went. Thank you, we’ll be seeing you again!

My experience with Comfort One Pet Grooming has been wonderful! I had a senior dog that had a lot of anxiety with grooming and hated going anywhere for grooming. I asked Hiroko to groom him in his last year of life. He enjoyed the experience as it was positive and stress free for him and for me!Hiroko is very professional, very accommodating, patient, gentle and very caring. I loved her approach with my Leo so much that I used her service for my little molly. She is the only groomer that I trust and that I will use from now on!

I discovered Comfort One Pet Grooming after having poor experiences with other groomers in Calgary where my dog would come back to me super stressed. My dog Yepi is anxious when it comes to baths. Hiroko is the most patient, kind and caring groomer. She doesn't stress my dog, she creates a safe space for Yepi and uses positive reinforcement. Yepi loves going to Hiroko as she knows she will get yummy treats and be respected. We are working on growing Yepi's confidence with baths and will continue to do business with Comfort One Pet Grooming. We love Hiroko's approach to grooming and her communication is amazing.

Hiroko has been grooming my rescue dog Bailey for the past year, and it is always a lovely experience.
