Twin Anchors Houseboat Vacations

We had a awesome experience renting a boat here. We upgraded to their flagship boat. It was a little under equipped and a few components in the boat were tired but for the most part it was well maintained and very clean interior. The lake was awesome and we had an absolute blast aboard the JCruiser.

We didn't rent a houseboat but wanted to check it out. There is a large variety and sizes of houseboats to choose from and appears to be a very busy place. We watched as staff drove a quad with wagons behind to take the guests supplies to their assigned boats. They have a small store for souvenirs and last minute items plus an outdoor restaurant and bar area. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The washrooms are very clean. We can't wait to book a boat in the near future.

While the check-in process was rigorous and at times overwhelming, our time on the water was fabulous. Be sure to choose two able and reliable captains. We had that, and it made for smooth sailing. Pay attention to all the orientation materials in advance of sailing!We lucked out with good weather. The hot tub did not get hot, but since it was warm weather, lake swims were ideal. While the cc1 is an older vessel, it served our purposes very well.

We were told boarding is at 2:30. Even though you show up earlier than boarding time, it takes hours before we can be on our way. Have been going for 28 years with the same company, however there seems to be no sense of loyalty. We did not get on our till 5:30 p.m and you are charged for the day. They tend to want to nickle and dime you when the boat is returned.

Had a wonderful vacation this past week with my family. We took the Cruise Craft 1, eight adults on board. The staff were incredibly friendly and our boarding was so easy! Since covid we were nervous this could take all day to get on our boat. My husband and dad arrived early and got a time slot right away. Luckily our boat was at the dock all clean and ready to go. We boarded around 2pm. And left around 2:30pm. Very easy and the charter for our items to go on board was fantastic! The man who brought our load of stuff was very friendly.Things we noticed on the cruise craft 1-No outlets in the bedrooms!!(Couldn't have a fan or chargers in bedrooms)Was very hot even with the windows open.Beds aren't bad but not great. Saw lots of groups that brought memory foam toppers.No extension cord on board.No canopy- but we brought our own for shade on the top deck.No washer dryer or dish washer( but we knew that).No AC (we knew that)Could always upgrade to a cruise craft 2 for some of those items above.We will definitely upgrade our boat next time so we can have more accommodations on board. Overall we had a great 4 day trip. Our last night was ruined by a party boat. ( we were close to twin anchors dock about an hr away) We spoke with the twin anchors crew and they said they didn't own that boat. So we spoke with sicamous waterways and they owned the boat. They were professional and apologized for the inconvenience when I spoke with them on the phone. Please note that loud music is not permitted on the lake or you will get a fine. We were up until 2am because their boat had strobe lights, and blasting music. Very annoying on the lake. Dont be those people. The family is planning another trip in 2-3 years! Awesome experience, loading staff was amazing.Boat was a little bit older but as long as you note and initial any issues before leaving dock and don’t wreck anything it is very inexpensive for 8-12 people to get a good boat.We took a smaller boat for running around and paid less for fuel than actually driving my truck from Alberta.Aside from the permanent liver damage I am sure I did I definitely will be doing this again through twin anchors

First of all, I don't really leave reviews ever, but I feel that my experience should be shared as a warning to others that may want to use this boat company. They may come up first on the google search, but that certainly doesn't mean they are the only ones out there.Overall the experience on the lake with family was great and the boat had everything you need. Probably the biggest con of the boat is the lack of ventilation or fans. When it reaches over 30 degrees it is unbearable inside the boat. In addition to no ventilation, 70% of the windows did not have screens, so opening them led to large amounts of bugs inside the boat. I would advise to bring fans. The boat was very dated as well.What ruined the trip was the staff at the end of the trip and the fact that they charged us for the propeller. They do not give you an opportunity during your 12 minute rushed orientation to look at the propeller, but then demand that you pay at the end of the trip. Our before picture clearly shows damage, but they refused to accept the propeller was damaged before. This company spends a long time getting you to sign your life away for all the charges, but does not give you the opportunity to actually protect yourself. Kind of a racket, if you ask me, and just a way for them to cover off their maintenance costs.So I would say the experience of house boating was great, but I would not use this company again. These guys are probably not the best option for boating. If you do choose to use them, just be aware and spend as much time as you need checking everything over, because they certainly don't want you to. Ask that they fully remove the propeller from the water so that you can actually get a proper picture. I trusted them too much and took a picture while it was still under water. They had that thing off in minutes, so don't worry about delaying anything! Buyer beware for sure on this one!

We had so much fun and the boat was great. Had 30 people on 2 boats. Everything was clean and in good working order. Staff was friendly and helpful. Boat was fully stocked for 22 people. A great experience!
