Grand Dynasty Seafood Restaurant
Went on a quiet weekday evening. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. Staff was very professional and ready to serve. Food 4/5. Service 5/5. Decent portion size. We ordered four dishes for two people and had plenty of leftover.

The interior looks great and there’s lots of seats if you arrive early. It gets a little busy after 10:30am in the weekend. Some of the dishes would only be available to order after 10:30am. Dim sums taste good and they have some variety than other restaurants in Burnaby area. I would recommend having dim sum in this place if you live nearby.

Always bring cash just in case! When we asked for a bill, they told that we we must pay in cash because the wifi is down. We did not have enough cash in hands and they did not even know where exactly the ATM is nearby. We had to drive down to get cash and but what they kept saying was “it just happened, not my fault, you have to pay in cash” Disappointing attitude of the manager and not sure if I want to go back. Food and service is just okay.

The lunch special portions while appear to be a good size is definitely light on the meat. The pork with rice show had 4 thin pork slices. Nothing to write him regarding taste or portion sizes of the rest of the food. Service was meh at best. $30 pp easy which really isn’t that good given the type of meal.

Really nice and elegant Chinese Cuisine restaurant, Cantonese Foods, seafood are very fresh and high taste. Environment is good suitable for company gathering or family, friends gathering. Waitress is professional, always changing plates and check any help you need. Really worthy to try.

Have to wait if no reservation on Sat. The dim sum and service was pretty good. The deco was nice and the seating was comfortable. Unfortunately the washroom was very unappealing, floor was sticky, broom and cleaning products were everywhere.This time came here for mother's day lunch. Lobster with noodle was not bad. The BBQ duck was quite tasty and meaty. Except the fish rice roll was cold, and the deep fried squid was not crispy. The black sesame ball dessert was pretty good. Washroom is still u appealing.

This restaurant has become the new family dim sum and dinner spot because my niece is in love with their cat robot ❤️ the service has also been amazing and they’re super sweet. Even when they don’t need to use the cat robot they would bc they know my niece loves seeing it move around. The food is also pretty good too. I find their braised duck with taro hot pot to be amazing. Super flavour and left overs reheat so we’ll. First time I’ve enjoyed a braised meat dish this much. They have some set dinner specials which are great value too with Peking duck or lobster. We usually pick one of the set menus and add one or two more dishes and there’s plenty of left overs us.

Grand Dynasty is a great dim sum spot that offers excellent food for a fair price. The place was packed on a non-holiday Wednesday morning. Each of the dishes we had tasted great. The fried eggplant was particularly memorable with its slightly spicy taste and unique texture with borderline crunchy exterior and soft interior. Even though the place was packed, the service was attentive and friendly. From the restaurant, you can walk directly to the casino beside it, making this place a great choice for lunch or dinner if you plan on visiting the casino in Burnaby. To avoid having to wait for a table, you can make a reservation by calling in beforehand.

I have been here for dimsum many times with family and colleagues and we were always very pleased with their foods and service. Tonight we came here for dinner for the first time for a special celebration and they didn't disappoint. First, they ensured very good physical distancing between customers at different tables. Very friendly, attentive and professional service throughout our dinner. We had six dishes and all of them either met our expectations (crisp fried stuffed duck, crab meat with pea tips, abalone & chicken in casserole) or exceeded them (scallop and beef tenderloin with king oyster mushrooms, beef tendon and brisket with Japanese pumpkin in casserole, and black truffle seafood fried rice). The portions were also very good. We will return and try other special/new dishes. Thank you for a great evening!
