SouthPaw Barbers - Courtice

Went in for a haircut showed barber pictures of what I wanted on sides and back which was probably #3 and came out bald skin fade and poorly done lines every where and bangs were cut off 2 inches shorter on one side vs the other. Barber tried to hide it by styling and I didn't realize it until I got home and showered.I don't know about the other 2 guys , but the guy I had didn't look like he had much experience had No clipper over comb experience which could of easily fixed all the lines and uneveness and no scissor cutting experience it seemed all he wanted to do was keep switching clipperguards to fix his mistakes. This place needs to spend more time with their clients and ask more questions before just jumping in and doing what they might know and not what is requested or shown to them in pictures. Overall the atmosphere was great and the person who I think was the owner super nice and friendly but unfortunately the hair cut for me was bad and im out an additional 40 bucks that I had to dish out a few days later to try to salvage what was left somewhere else where they truly were remarkable to fix it as best as they could and make it look seamless for what it was no lines steps or unevenness just a smooth transition.

Absolutely loved our experience at South Paw today with Leo! He was kind, welcoming, and knew exactly what to do to help my boys (ages 3 & 6) feel comfortable during their cuts. He made us feel right at home, used my picture inspiration for the cuts, and gave them their best cuts to date, hands down! Bonus, my little one actually loves clippers and blow-dryers now, thanks Leo!

Had a great time here. When I arrived it felt like I had walked into a friend's apartment. I walked in wearing a mask and Leo offered to throw one on, which was unexpected and nice of him. He was able to work around mine no problem and I was left with a haircut that I actually like the look of in photos. I'll definitely be back in the future.

We took our 18 month old in for his first hair cut last night. First off: great environment and friendly staff, I was digging on this place with all the comic book art, decals and vintage star wars toys adorning the walls...it felt like hanging out in a jam space (a clean one). While our little guy wasn't too amped for a hair cut, Leo did manage to tame his toddler mullet to the best of his abilities despite our son having a meltdown. While we didn't get a finished cut; our little dude looks so much better than when we walked in. Leo was patient and concerned for everyone's safety during this most traumatic of experiences lol, very professional and courteous. I will be booking for a cut and beard groom very soon and will 100% be bringing our son back when he is ready. The entire staff was great with our kid along with all the otherboys and men in the shop. Even as a first time customers we were treated like we had been going to this place for years. I look forward to many future father and son outings to South Paw.Thank you Leo and staff. See you again soon!

Honestly, great cut. I don't usually leave reviews but this place is relatively new in the neighbourhood (2 months) and I'm super impressed. Wanted to find something local that gives a solid cut.But theses guys went above and beyond. Better cut than Miami Fades at half the price. I was a walk-in on a Tuesday afternoon.Leo put me in Jose's chair. Leo the owner who was with a client is a real ppl person but not in a grandiose or obvious way. Made me feel right at home. And Jose knows what he's doing. Felt like a bespoke experience tbh. Even used the straight razor and shaving cream for perfect edges.Place has a really nice relaxed vibe. Feel refreshed after the experience for sure.So grateful to have found my local neighbourhood barbershop.

AHHHHHHMAZING! My son is 6 and has only ever been to child salons. BEST HAIR CUT EVER!!! Thank you Leo!!! My son loves it there and wants to go back real soon. Great, Friendly service! My son doesn't want to wash it or sleep on it! Lol If you're looking for a place... look no further.

Incredible experience. Last minute walk in on a Friday and they took my son and I. Catered to my son immediately and made sure he was comfortable and engaged. He hasn't stopped talking about it. I was able to get a great bald fade, this is the spot from now on.
