Coyote Canine Dog Training

Highly recommend to anyone for any type of training, Best Dog trainer in Ottawa! We recently adopted a beagle/hound mix and were having alot of trouble dealing with seperation anxiety and barking while she is home alone. We tried multiple things for a while and nothing seemed to help, I reached out to Natasha at Coyote Canine for lessons and training and I couldn't have been happier with the professional service provided. Even though they are fully booked, Natasha took the time to reach out and offer tips and guidance. Within a couple of days, we have not had any more issues and our dog is now calm when alone and happier than ever when we get home!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank Tash and everyone at Coyote Canine. After taking a long walk this morning and doing our regular training, I cried happy tears. After only 3 lessons, we were able to pass by another dog without any reactions. Having a reactive dog can be incredibly discouraging and these lessons have helped build a better relationship between my dog and I as well as allow for me to understand exactly what is happening. I have learned so much along the way and 6 months ago I would have never imagined being at this point. For anyone looking for a dog trainer, I HIGHLY recommend Coyote Canine!! When we showed up at Coyote Canine Dog Training and met Natasha, I was really nervous, Finnegan was really anxious… we made a great pair! Finn is a rescue with an unknown history who has been with me for 1.5 years, he is known to be reactive and aggressive to strangers. He’s my first dog… I certainly didn’t go the easy route. I felt tired, stuck and frustrated, I was also really hopeful to see how we could grow. In my short time working with Natasha, I have learned to understand Finn, his language, his interests, his fears and over the course of a few weeks, Finn and I learned to be partners. He has gained confidence and has learned to relax. We still have some work to do but now I have the tools and skills to help Finn navigate the world. I am extremely thankful to have worked with Natasha.

We couldn’t recommend Tash and Coyote Canine enough! Her experience spans far beyond basic obedience and has been invaluable in helping us with our reactive rescue dog, Karma.She has taught us so much about our dog’s body language, what we can do differently and how to set her up for success.Thanks to Tash we went from Karma staying upstairs anyone someone came over to calmly sitting in the same room with all our guests. Worth every penny!

Jay Hamelin helped us with our puppy in private lessons. From the beginning we could tell that he is a passionate trainer that enjoys what he does. He is very knowledgable, and works with his clients as opposed to simply telling them what they need to do. We established a set of goals from the beginning and then incrementally worked towards them. Our puppy now has a strong foundational base, but most importantly, as handlers Jay has equipped us with the knowledge, expectations, and ability to continue working towards other goals. We highly recommend Jay as a trainer.

Potcake! We adopted a 2 year old beach/stray dog and enlisted some guidance from Jay. We had the private in-home session and it was just eye opening and incredible. He left us with tips and tricks and we've continued to use them throughout our dogs training. He taught us about her mannerisms and what she's thinking, which has helped out greatly on outdoor walks. He is supportive, positive and just has this vibe about him that makes me want to invite him and his lady over for dinner. We are continuously working with him to iron out the kinks and this experience has simply been rewarding and amazing. Love these people! Highly recommend.

We have been so pleased with the focused private training that we got for us as we adapt to our Mexican rescue dog Nina. Chris came to our home and worked on the skills we felt we needed. He was able to teach so much in each hour, and Nina was super attentive to him. We also learned a lot and love to see how well Nina attends to us too. Thanks Chris for helping us in this process!

The only place I trust my furbaby to go. Lots of open space to run and play. Clean kennel and indoor area!! Also Natasha is the best trainer from puppy training to behavior issues!!

We had Jay out to help with our recent adoption of our 19 month old German Shepard pup. We are integrating with a little dog and cat and my Shepard was becoming reactive with his toys. Before even booking an appointment he spent a good 45 minutes with me on the phone which not only settled me but I saw the passion he has for animals. I never thought we would overcome this and it was a very stressful situation for me and my family and the animals. I can’t believe the change in not even a week. Jay helped us understand Cooper, his body language and the training and boundaries that need to be set. He spent way more time with us then the 2 hours I paid for. He never even looked at the clock. These trainers are exceptional. I will continue to keep in contact with Jay and if I need him to come back he will. After a few weeks of training I am hoping to step up the training even further. But for now we work on the basics and get them down pat. Thank you Coyote Canine, Jay especially, for helping our family.

What a difference Coyote Canine has made! We have benefited from both Natasha's training and boarding for our rescue Daisy, a mastiff mix. Daisy was found abandoned in the woods, starving and sick and even after months, she couldn't be walked safely or approached by other dogs without reacting. It was scary. Natasha's guidance and training was amazingly helpful and Daisy now loose-leash walks perfectly, is friendly with ALL other dogs we meet, large and small including our other rescue. The kennel was also fantastic and she loved it there, plus had lots of exercise with other dogs. Five stars for Coyote Canine. Merci.
