Had a great time at the Museum. The woman there was wonderful and full of incredible information.Thier gift shop carrys some Native art at great prices. Picked up a couple of carved silver pieces and am really happy with them and thier cost.

Lovely little museum with a gift shop. There are many beautiful First Nations designed items available at the gift shop. The museum itself is educational for anyone who is new to the area and wants to learn more about it. Entrance is by donation and anyone who’s interested can buy membership.

Great Book Collection on the history of the North Island. You can get a feel for the Homesteaders here and the Traditional First Nations Communities and Villages. Knowledgeable Staff

Don't just go in and out. Be sure to speak with the staff, they have more stories and information that is very interesting, regarding the area.

This little museum has a ton of potential! There are some very interesting artifacts, but sadly, there is almost no information on the individual pieces! It looks like there was a rich and diverse history in the area, I just wish we could have learned more in about it!

Went to Port Hardy with My wife and 2 daughters To visit my Sister and her family. Her husband is a logger. So I wanted to see the history of it. So she took me here and let me tell you what a place. So much awesome history. Such a great place.

Port Hardy Museum
For a small museum it was great. You first walk into the gift shop which is great! They have a wide selection of books and super cheap post cards. I picked up a couple to send home. The exhibits were great. I really loved the Pre-history of Bear Cove exhibit. The only thing I would have liked was more explanations on certain exhibits.
