Royal Academy

Be careful with this place! Everything looks new, bright and shiny and covered with layers and layers of marketing. In fact, they don’t really care, just make money. This entire facility is a giant infant-toddler production line, great spot for spreading all the viruses, the worst place to be if your child is under two. We enrolled a year ago, did 5 days and quit loosing $2700. Maybe they have a few nice teachers but I didn’t like what I saw. I saw young toddlers sucking on each other pacifiers, grabbing faces and doing lots bad stuff, I saw impatient teachers saying STOP CRYING to a very little kids, I saw young toddlers walking in muddy-bodies under heating sun just because the weather changed and no one cared to take suits off, I saw small kids trying to get their water bottles and no one cared to help them. What a terrible place. On 5th day my 18 mo. old son was crying nonstop for 2 hours and they didn’t call me even I was steps away, he got Covid there and on 5th day was already sick without symptoms. It took 2 months for our son to recover from this place, to get his confidence and health back, and much longer to teach him off grabbing people’s faces. Also, be aware of their dirty financial practices, they increase prices without notice. Please, be very very careful with place, better avoid.

We've had an incredible experience at this daycare and I realy wish I could give it more stars.- It's huge. Each classroom has ample space for the kids to have a napping area, dining tables, changing area, and toys. They have outdoor play areas too. When it's raining there's a gym for the kids to play in.- They have a camera system that let's me watch my son. Honestly, I think I would've been so much more anxious I already was if it wasn't for this. I've rarely seen my son cry and that always helps me feel more at ease.- They provide food and have an in house chef which takes so much responsibility off my plate.- Our son is always clean! The teachers always change his diapers and clothes.- The teachers and staff really care about the kids. Special shout out to Teachers Marinor and Chloé for being so patient and caring with our son. Our son still struggles with napping there but they both take their time and really put their effort with him. We also see our son hugging them and being really comfortable them.- Ms. Kelly and Karen who run the place are the most competent administrators we've interacted with. They always answer the phone (I called up over 30 daycares before and not one picked up except them.) On times when they don't, I send them sn email and get a reply within 4 hours. Ms Kelly has been so accommodating with our needs and provided us with flexibility and much needed empathy when we didour gradual entry. Once, we were supposed to pick up our son at 1230 but we atrived late. We got to the center with our son sleeping in Ms. Kelly's arms.- Most importantly, our son has been happier and more social since starting daycare here.I really can't recommend this place enough. We feel extremely lucky to have found Royal Academy!

Our 5-year-old has been attending Royal Academy since it opened its Richmond branch in July last year. She is in the preschool class and really looks forward to meeting with Ms. Phoebe and her classmates every day. She has learned a lot at the school over the past year and we are very happy to see the progress she has made in both social and academic aspects. It is also worth mentioning that the school is super spacious, and well equipped with the best classroom facilities. Out of the three child care centers that we have been with so far in Richmond, Royal Academy is definitely the best both in terms of teacher qualifications and facility standard.

My boy is lucky to join in Royal Academy. The teachers are so kind and patient. he learnt a lot in class such as behavior manners etc. we are impressed the teachers take kids pics everyweek to record their life in school. Thus, As parents, we are so relieved when kids in daycare.

We are very fortunate to have Ms. Phoebe to be our kids’ main teacher.She is patient, calm, friendly and works super well with children. She is the best Montessori teacher we ever have. I wish we could meet her earlier, so yes 5 stars arenot enough for how satisfied we felt toward Ms. Phoebe.

I can’t say enough how good this daycare is. All the teachers are so caring and treating the children with their true heart.My son went to daycare when he was 21 months, he was shy and couldn’t say a word. Now he is 27 months, he is so outgoing and he speaks sentences nonstop. We are so thrilled about his progress after he started at daycare. After he turned 2 years old, he came home everyday with surprises, saying new word/sentences, dancing with music, saying ABC songs and etc.. We are so comfortable and relieved to send him to daycare everyday, he loves all his teachers. Thanks to Ms Lee, Ms Tansy, Ms Grace and Ms Diana, I bet he definitely thinks his class is his second home.Not only the teachers the environment of the daycare is also incredible. Everything is newly renovated. There are around 15 classrooms, 5 huge outdoor playgrounds. Far away from main roads. It is definitely a excellent environment for the children physically and mentally.I would recommend Royal Academy to anyone who is looking for a daycare for their little ones!!

Kindergarten with a good environment. The classroom is bright and the playground is large . I highly recommend Ms Phoebe (room12). She is a very professional Montessori teacher. She teaches my children a lot of skills and knowledge. Her classroom is very clean and tidy. My children are really lucky to meet Ms Phoebe.Every day, my children are happy, quiet and orderly to study and play in the classroom with Ms Phoebe. Ms Phoebe is also very patient with children.And my children really love her.

My son has just been Royal for two weeks . We are very appreciated Ms.Sandy , Michelle and Julie . They are very kind and patience . With their support and accompany . I think my son will be very happy in school .

I cannot say enough good things about this place.My baby loves everything about that place. I am leaving as I have a family situation but I will definitely come back to this place again and again.Tiffany the manager is so helpful and kind.Teacher Adhraa is one of the best teachers they’ve, my baby call her mama.Teacher Sandy and Min are also wonderful.They have this amazing camera system and reporting system to keep track or your kid.I love everything about Royal Academy - Richmond

My son went to this daycare up until about 6 months ago. Our experience considerably differed from every one who has reviewed this place so far. We had a terrible experience compared to those who shared their feedback and even though time has past we feel it’s important to share our experience because we see him thriving in his new daycare. My son was only here for no more than three months, but during the duration of his time at Royal Academy he became despondent and his personality completely changed. We feel it could be the culture of this environment as did not fit his needs being an active child. Nearing the end, he would literally sob into my arms when he was at home, he would sit the couch without wanting to be touched and he didn’t want to leave the house when he knew where he was going. But ever since he started at his new location he is encouraged, mentally-stimulated and treated with kindness which in turn none of the latter issues are present today.
