Van Luyk Greenhouses and Garden Centre

Stopped by in on a whim. All their plants are super healthy ! I bought the most gorgeous monstera plant that is huge for half the price you’d pay elsewhere . They also have a great selection.Update 2022: the review I added a few years ago was true but unfortunately my experience today has really put a damper on things. The only person who even acknowledged my presence when entering was a kind young man who was managing the front, but other then that the workers literally avoided eye contact. The prices have really increased ( to be expected within reason since Covid) I had spent time looking through & picked out an olive tree with the price clearly marked on every single plant on the sales floor. Once I brought it to the cash I had nothing but issues. First they couldn’t locate it in the system and then they wanted to sell me the pot it was physically planted it separately…which is outrageous! . Then upon checking with the manager the price was no longer $29.99 but now $59.99!!!! Literally double the price listed ! Apparently the listed price was what they payed “at cost and could not sell it to me for that price” I get mistakes happen but asked if they would honour it as literally EVERY plant on the floor has that tag on it and they refused to do so. I reluctantly still purchased it as it was gift and didn’t have time to chance not having what I needed in time. Went to another local greenhouse not far from there and it was $34.99. I feel like I got ripped off .They’ve lost a customer - I won’t be coming back.

They have a good collection of annuals and perennials. I really love the way they arrange flowers and vegetables. I can get 20 plus varieties of tomato and pepper from them. The staff there is very helpful and interactive. This place always give a positive vibe. I was actually surprised after listening to such knowledgeable employee.I am pretty sure that I will not miss this place in upcoming spring and summer.

It's very established plant shop with lots of different varieties of plants such as vegetables, fruits, flowers both indoors and outdoors. Fertilisers and small agricultural equipments are also available.

I always buy my garden needs at Van Luyk. They have a lovely selection of flowers that are always healthy. They also have a good selection of planters. And of course the staff is always very helpful and service with a smile.

I very rarely leave reviews and do not like leaving bad reviews but our recent trip to Van Luyks was awful. We always try to support our locally owned businesses whether it is Christmas, birthdays or whatever, but we will not be back here. We bought a few trees there (less than a year ago) and spent a LOT of money and at Van Luyks they could care less if what you bought lives or dies and you get treated like they do not care about you or their plants. Never again. Big Box stores at least give you a refund.Ann

The first time I was in the store, I was amazed at ALL the Wonderful plants and flowers that they have there. Some plants I found were a little pricey but overall a fine selection and decent prices!! Most of my plants and flowers that I bought are still alive and growing..

I personally was not impressed. There was a time where I only shopped at Van Luyks. Currently I find it cluttered and with very narrow pathways. The plants compared to other retailers were not very nice. I do think you need to make use of as much space as possible, but there is a price to pay. Perhaps my standards are too high and therefore making a comment is not fair to your establishment. Having said that, I am afraid I will not be returning.

I am happy with my random stop at Van Luyk greenhouse. I was approached by staff with a smile. The employee was some what knowledgeable and admittedly did not know the answer to some of my questions.The selection and prices were some of the best I have seen in London.#localguides

My go-to place for all my plant shopping needs! They have a wide range of selections and are always fully stocked for indoor and outdoor plants for every season. Customer service is always great! Lots of friendly staff always willing to help and provide tips/suggestions. All my plants for my backyard/frontyard landscaping, vegetable garden, and indoor plants have been purchased here and all are doing great!
