Quelle belle découverte ! Je recommande sans hésitation. Ne vous fiez surtout pas à l'apparence extérieur du lieu qui ressemble à une maison familiale. Une fois à l'intérieur, vous serez séduit, tout comme vos papilles !Hyper sympa comme service !

First, reserve a spot by calling! It's a small space and the service will go for 2-3hrs. Sabine is an excellent host! She will care for you from beginning to end. The menu is based on local flavours, produce and meats/seafood. All elevated to French cuisine standard. By far one of the best place to eat in gaspesie. The food is rich and you won't be disappointed... go for the full experience of starters, main and dessert. Vraimment magnifique! Coup de coeur

When asked how long the wait would be, we were told it'd take around an hour. We waited almost 2 hours and ended up leaving, since their kitchen was going to close in 20 minutes anyway. There was no communication whatsoever between the owner and people in line. I'm sure the food and service is great, as per the countless other reviews. However it'd be better if we were told whether or not we'd be able to get in, instead of waiting pointlessly for 2 hrs.

No reservations (which is great as we dine early, guarantees a place, same day!) A lovely greeting from the sociable and friendly French owner who has been in business for 24 years in this cosy setting. Served beautiful and delicious fish menu with French wine. Highly recommend.

In June 2023, we had the opportunity to stumble upon this restaurant by sheer happenstance. Traveling to the town in which it is located, we were simply looking up restaurants by Review, and saw that this looked interesting. We have had the opportunity to dine in some fine restaurants in the United States, Canada, and Europe. This is right there among them. If you are traveling through Carleton sur Mer and enjoy high-quality, well, prepared and original work by obviously an excellent chef, don’t miss this place. Everything is local and made in house. Your experience will be centered around the food. The wine list is nicely oriented towards what is served on the menu, it is relatively small, and reasonable. The service is great! The front of house is ably staffed by an engaging French woman who knows her craft. As for ambience, the restaurant is located on the front deck of a private home. While clearly not a Michelin star appearing experience, there are numerous little touches that are endearing. What truly caught my eye having lived in France for sometime was the collection of charitable annual calendars from the French Postal Service that adorn the bathroom walls. While we enjoyed a quiet night, if you arrive during a busy time, understand that there are only six or seven tables, Madame will not rush your meal, and reservations are not accepted. So good luck, go there, and if you get in, you are psyched.
