Did get a chance to ride the train, we were just passing through town, but we plan to book a ride. Very friendly folks, willing to show us around, gave us the history, showed us the Engine. You can book various rides through the summer

I did the Texas BBQ tour. It was excellent! You are taken to a ghost town where you eat in a decommissioned church. The Brisket was fantastic.You are treated very well on this tour. Would highly recommend.Book in advance as most tours sell out quickly.

Fantastic experience.A few years back I did a similar train excursion in Stettler, Alberta, and was shocked to come across something similar to that in Saskatchewan. This is a much better value for $50/person, that gets you the train ride AND the museum grounds admission.Plan a minimum 3 hours for the museum, and also take advantage of the golf cart they offer for those who can’t handle the tons of walking. We did the museum first, then the train ride at 1:30pm.We got to the train early (around 1:00) and were one of the first to board. Go to the outdoor seating, the breeze and views is fantastic. The tour guides were great, super informative. They also served alcohol, I’m pretty sure that was cash only.We had supper at the hotel restaurant on the corner of Main Street, it was great. The pizzeria sounded good too, we will have to try that out next time.Worth the drive, affordable weekend activity. Would definitely come back.

This was my 3rd train ride, everyone of them has been alovely time, I have taken my entire family now and everyone of them has really enjoyed the experience. Loved hearing the history and the meal has been awesome. My grandkids all enjoyed going through the museum village, too. I recommend this experience for every family, it’s a great time!

What a gem in Saskatchewan! We took the History and loved it. We sat in the second train section. Was nice and cool, but windy. Would totally recommend it for a whole family. With the train ride we were given a free pass to the museum, this is a must for all ages. So glad we had the time to see a lot of the past there. You need time, we went before train ride. Thanks

Beautiful station!The volunteers really care about their local railway history.Definitely worth a visit anytime you are near Ogema.

We went on the Settler's Supper" trip in September 2022. Had an excellent time - the train was really fun

Wow! Started with a little over an hour's drive from Regina through some beautiful prairie. Ogema is a very pretty town, a perfect setting for the train. The ride itself was a wonderful experience and the staff onboard were friendly and had some interesting trivia about what we saw. The BBQ supper was done very well and was served in good time with things kept properly hot. Riding back we went to the bar car. Having the doors open like that made it such a unique experience! I enjoyed standing there watching for the entire trip back without impedance.This being run by volunteers is truly amazing. Hats off to everyone at Southern Prairie Railway for making such a wonderful experience!

Absolutely charming train ride. We went out to the Pangman Farmers' Market (which is really just 6 tables of homemade, local goods) and then back to Ogema (rhymes with Omeha). The train is simple and the bar car" is just a stripped down baggage car with chairs at the moment
