My 83 year old mother's experience the afternoon of June 20th was deplorable. The people tending to her were rude, they stuck through her vein causing extensive bruising, swelling and bleeding on her clothes, and then told her it was her fault for not holding the cotton on her injection sight long enough. Since when is the patent responsible for the technician's work?! This was not the cause of the problem. This establishment needs to rethink their customer service. Please go anywhere else.

Front desk staff were all extremely rude, dismissive and spoke down to clients. They refused to allow me to attend with the client I had brought for his blood work. We arrived early for his booked appointment and he was still waiting 40 minutes after the appointment time. The first staff who attempted to draw blood was unable to do so and rudely told him to wait. He texted me so I asked what the problem was and was not giving any answers

Terrible inexperienced and very RUDE staff. Didn’t allow me to do the swab in the bathroom, because they claimed it was I INAPPROPRIATE , i informed the nurse that I’ve already done before at a doctor’s clinic in their bathroom, she yelled at me saying this isn’t a clinic, and said she doesn’t want to argue anymore. Super rude and disgusting and miserable girls they shouldn’t even be dealing with customers, they have no idea what they are doing.

Impatient, mid-thirties, white woman wearing glasses was consistently rude to multiple patients. Grossly unprofessional and unpleasant operation. How does LifeLabs keep their license with service like this? Some of the elderly patients in the waiting room were close to tears because of the way they were treated. Where does LifeLabs find these people? Shameful and embarrassing.

Please if you can go to another location for blood tests, do. The service was incredibly rude, they are very disorganized and talk down on people. The lady at the front was basically screaming at people. My child's and my own arm are bruised as well as in pain. I have never gotten a bruise like this after getting my blood work; and my child can barely move her arm.I understand health care is free but you ladies at the reception and blood testing, are getting paid good money to be there.Needless to say, the place was empty, I now know why.Never again.

Since I had to give 1 star to continue thats why they got 1. But I would give them NONE.This place is an absolute disaster, the staff are extremely rude as well. They are not polite, don't know how to do their jobs either. They need lots more training. They had no idea what to do what my paperwork. They were so behind on people who actually had booked appointments. And they NEVER once asked to see my Healthcard. I kept asking if they wanted it and they never took it. *Also they don't have Masks available for people who want 1 at their visit*

Based off of my experience going to this particular life labs on Tuesday, late January 2023 around 10:30 AM:Parking isn’t an issue because this clinic is in a medium sized plaza. There is an online appointment booking system, which seems to get honoured in the clinic. I didn’t book my appointment as I didn’t know what time I would arrive, but it wasn’t an issue as I didn’t have to wait long (to my surprise) despite an almost full waiting room. Aside from the pre-booked appointments they serve each client first come first serve. Upon signing in they require your requisition form (if you have one) and your health card, they also require you to wear a mask and sanitize your hands. The clinic is like any other public walk-in clinic (although this one is particularly for urinalysis, blood testing and some prenatal & genetic testing) which has a system for signing in and a waiting area for waiting to be called to the patient rooms. The staff running this particular LifeLabs are polite, but quite direct with how they do business. It is clear they are running a tight ship, and they mean business which may come off as a little rude if you’re not recognizing that they are just trying to keep the clients organized and flowing to meet the demand. I know some reviews mentioned that they are disorganized, but I did not feel this was the case at all - perhaps things have changed over time to what they are now. I didn’t see any sign on the wall, mentioning that patients should request a bed if needed (I’m prone to fainting) so upon being called into a sitting room, I was politely told to return to the waiting room until the room with a bed becomes available upon mentioning my needle phobia. I don’t get blood taken very often but when I do I start seeing stars and the blood drains out of my face. So, if you need a bed, let them know at the desk - I guess it’s the unsaid rule - this is something you might want to keep in mind. Nevertheless, they seem to conduct their clinic in a way which serves the clients well enough that they were able to figure out what I needed even though I didn’t directly ask (a bed). My particular nurse did an excellent job especially that I have a needle phobia and she was able to swiftly take eight vials of blood without a hiccough. This may have been one of the best blood draws of my life.As for the urinalysis, the bathrooms were cleaner than most public walk-in clinics, and they even have a mini fridge next the bathrooms for you to place your urine sample in once you are done. This seems like a small detail but it’s a lot more embarrassing to pass your hot fresh urine off to a human’s hand. They even indicated on the container with a sharpie where are the maximum and minimum your amount should be for my particular urinalysis. Again, this added to a much less potential awkward and embarrassing situation overfilling the container. There are two bathrooms one being larger than the other to accommodate individuals with walkers or wheelchairs. Each bathroom has coat hook at the back of their door inside the bathroom for you to hang your coat and bag. Being that it is winter I was worried I wouldn’t be able to safely place my coat and bag in a clean area while providing my urine sample. I only wish they had paper towel for your hands and not a blow dryer (just a personal preference) although toilet paper did suffice. There is plenty of hand sanitizer available for a sanitary experience throughout the clinic.

No staff were wearing name tags. Had booked an appointment online. After the time of my appointment I Still had to wait 40 minutes before seeing a nurse for blood work. A Nurse of Asian descent that did my very first prenatal blood work today was more interested in what was going on in other Booths than doing my blood work. Kept wiggling the needle and leaning back to look in other booths while taking my blood. Making the process painful and when I said ow multiple times did nothing but ignore me while im in pain bc of all the wiggling of the needle. I’ve had plenty of blood work done before in the past and never did the whole inside of my elbow bruise like it did today just an hr afterwards. My whole arm is in pain bc of it aswell. Very poor service for a supposed medical professional. I will ever get blood work here again after this experience.

Booked an online appointment for 3:40pm on a Friday. Came in a couple of minutes before. Got registered, sat down in the waiting area and my name was called in less than a minute. Doesn't get any better than that. Thanks!
