Yarrow Sash & Door

I called Yarrow to see about replacing my 8 panel leaded glass cedar front door after a break in. The 3 panels in the lower portion of the door had to be knocked out by Police in order to arrest the intruder inside. I'd called one other company prior to contacting Yarrow and was told my door would have to be replaced but at a very high cost. Over the period of a month I'd been assembling quotes for the door which for some reason kept climbing. When Yarrow came by to assess the damage to the door I was pleasantly surprised that my door could be repaired as the perimeter and the rest of the door was not damaged and at roughly a third the price of my prior quote. They came on Thursday picked up my door and secured the doorway. Then returned the following Wednesday with my door which they repaired with cedar also duplicating all the original moldings. It was rehung and was just like new! The new cedar is lighter in colour of course but with the oil/preservative I've been using will darken with age. The two fellows that were here were very courteous and took extreme care while doing their work. They both admired our wood work which we'd stripped and refinished through out our 100+ year old brick house. I would highly recommend Yarrow Sash & Door" for any door

We were very pleased with the workmanship of the Yarrow team. We had almost all the windows redone in our home, as well as our patio door, and our front entrance. Our concern was that the new windows should match the original wood trim throughout the house. Yarrow was very conscientious in regards to ensuring our satisfaction with the wood trim and the attention to detail both inside and outside the house. In regards to the front entrance, Mic was very attentive to all our questions, and responded quickly to all concerns.We are absolutely thrilled with our new front entrance. It is a completely new facelift for the house. It was such fun doing the research and planning all the changes. We are very happy with the end results. We love our new windows and our new front entrance. The workmanship of the Yarrow team is excellent. I would highly recommend Yarrow to all.

Our experience with Yarrow was fantastic. Mick poured a ton of time in to helping us design the perfect windows and canopy for our house. The work was completed on time and with great attention to detail. They produced beautiful, custom, and high-quality work. We have received so many compliments on what they did for us.

The challenge was to replace the older storm and screen windows with a solution that would allow the stain glass to remain. I was very happy with the quality of product, installation, and installers for the windows at my beach cottage. I would certainly recommend this company to friends and strangers alike. We are very pleased with the garden doors that were installed. The exterior and interior colours were perfect for us. The installers took care to make a great fit on the exterior stucco line and the tile floor on the inside. The product and the installation are top notch.

We did the crazy thing of undertaking a complete house renovation, and the help from Yarrow in designing a door that we liked and was within our budget was excellent. The install and trim was a challenge as the house walls weren't straight anymore. They finished it so well, you'd never know. Definitely recommend for quality, craftsmanship and service!

Two arched sealed unit windows to replace my 90 year old single pane storms on my house in River Heights. Beautiful craftsmanship and a nice snug fit into the existing openings. Very pleased with the final product.

We are very happy with all the work Yarrow did right from the beginning. I initially dealt with the owner, Mick who was pleasant and professional. I found pictures of a door I loved on the internet that I quite loved and he was eager to follow that idea and come up with a custom door for us. He clearly outlined the process and timeline and was available for any questions.The rest of the staff were also fabulous, Karen was on top of the schedule and dealt with my payment questions and made the process easy.When it came time for the install it was over three days for three windows and a main entry door and sides. All the work was perfect, the staff were all very professional and courteous and friendly. Mark had everything timed and planned out. He ensured that every detail was accounted for and kept everyone on track. They were all very well organized and had everything under control.Initially I hadn’t really thought about the doorbell and so that was a minor glitch as well as some trim issues, also the old house created a bit of havoc getting this very heavy door balanced properly. Lastly one of the screens was not provided. I’m only pointing these things out because there are always some issues with any renovation and Yarrow Sash & Door’s professionalism and service really came through in how they dealt with all of this. Mark kept a running list of all the minor fixes and when he came back (once our doorbell came in) he spent the time to ensure everything was perfect.All the windows and the door work and fit perfectly and we will definitely choose them to do other work at our home.We’ve done lots of renovations and it’s been our experience that it’s rare for a company to say what they are going to do and actually do it.... even better on their own without having to be chased. It was refreshing to have all these lovely folks take such care and pride in their work and our front entryway is pretty spectacular!Thanks Yarrow Sash & Door we’re exceptionally satisfied with your work!
