Absolutely stunning church. Came for a seven church pilgrimage on Holy Thursday two years in a row. Parking is tight with a small lot across the street but you won’t be disappointed by the mass here and the parishioners . Amazing that they do the traditions Latin mass here to!

Historic and beautiful. Great history surrounding its founding and German influence. Can't wait to see the finished work after renovations.

I have attended Mass at St. Joseph Shine about 5 times now, and each time is a glorious experience— reverent, wonderful times attending the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. This church is a beautiful piece of history and we are blessed to have it still with us. The Traditional Latin Mass is the truly Catholic Mass of all time. The priests and community are wonderful.

The first time I came here I was moved to tears. One of the most beautiful shrines I've ever seen. The priests were very reverent, and the homily was powerful, he talked about the importance of our baptism and what it means to be reborn again as followers of Christ.Come enjoy the TLM at this shrine. It will change your life.

Truly an incredible place to worship Our Lord. The Canons of the Institute of Christ the King have transformed the church. Beautiful liturgy with all the smells and bells, dedicated altar servers, and a congregation who sings and chants along with the spectacular schola cantorum (choir). God bless St Joseph’s!

Arguably one of the most beautiful parishes in the entire Archdiocese of Detroit. A place where you will be spiritually nourished, challenged, and surrounded by priests and parishioners who want to help you get to heaven. Very beautiful and reverent Masses... the opportunity for confession every day... amazing music... rich devotional life... catechesis for children, teens, and adults... a deep love for Our Lord, Our Lady, the saints, and the Church.

Traditional latin mass at Saint Joseph’s Shrine is very reverent and beautiful.Be prepared to enjoy an architectural gem, accompanied of outstanding music but most important to feel the peace of a place where you can connect with God and learn the teachings of the traditional Catholic Church.

This was an absolutely breath taking church to visit! Felt so peaceful sitting in mass. Everything is original from when the church was built (looks like).

Beautiful and reverent TLM. I usually go on holy days of obligation. It's an incredibly beautiful church. The Holy Mass is well attended, it's a large basilica and it's always packed, and there are lines to have confessions heard. There are so many young families and young adults.

Beautiful post gothic French style revival architecture, the Knights of St. John International serve there, a noble order of traditional Catholic military order of knighthood. The priest or canons celebrate the traditional Latin holy mass, and was one of the few authentic steadfast sanctuaries of worship that stayed open during the pandemic, didn't enforce mask and moved contrary to the spirit of the age which was fear. It is a beautiful, free and vibrant community truly moved by the Holy Spirit. May the Spirit of the Lord be with you...
