One of the staff dropped my 4 pound toy maltipoo from shoulder height. She smacked her head on a table and the floor.I’ve tried to get in contact with the owner for a few weeks now to suggest changing the handle on the pocket door accessing the dog area as opening it is very difficult with a dog in hand.Multiple voicemails and requests for a call made to the staff. Totally ignored.EDIT - (April 20, 2023):The owner did eventually reach out a couple weeks ago and explained that they were under the mistaken impression that my requests to connect with them were for the purpose of spam/selling them unwanted product.They apologized for the confusion and the incident with my dog. We discussed how Dogplay's policy is for staff to normally never carry more than one animal at a time.They were receptive to my suggestion of changing the door handle.

My dog Shylo has been attending DogPlay for approx. 3 months now, mainly for daycare however she has boarded as well, and we could not be happier! My dog can be anxious/reactive and the staff have always been so helpful and honest when I ask for feedback regarding her day. Shylo always comes home happy and tired from a fun day of play.As an owner of a dog with higher behavioural needs, it was stressful finding a daycare that I trusted. The DogPlay staff really take the time to get to know your dog and their quirks and I have full trust that Shy is in good hands each time she goes.

Our high energy dog Apollo has been going to DogPlay for day care since Oct. It started out once a week and has progressed to 3x a week. Every time we drop him off he is excited, no matter who is behind the desk. He has had grooming and even though it is not his favorite thing he was happy to return. We once took him to a groomer/day care and he resisted going in after a few visits. We recently left him for boarding for 5 days. He was in good spirits, and very tired when we got him home. The staff is very good at communicating and answering any questions. We are very happy to leave our Dog knowing he is safe and happy and in good hands.

The owner isn’t nice at all (bad vibes) and the staff don’t actually watch the dogs because there are way too many dogs in relation to staff. Terrible experienceEdit: The owner thinks I have the wrong business, but I assure you, I do not. Darryl, I’m in your database under my husband’s name but for the sake of anonymity, I will leave it there. Please do better for the dogs. Thank you.

Love the staff and DogPlay site - they’ve been great with Eloïse. She always comes home happy and tired which is a great sign. An even better sign is her standing up in the back of the car itching to jump out and run in! Thanks DogPlay staff!

Im quite happy with this place. First thing first, Ive had the pleasant meeting with the manager. I was surprised since I used to work for her in a different company, so to leave my dogs under her care is something im not worried about. I was a bit worried to bring my GSD who has anxiety, but so far she has been adjusting to this daycare really well. So i am absolutely glad. The location is pretty big for the dogs to roam around and unlike jet pet resort, the staffs are very attentive to the dogs needs. Moreover, my dogs dont end up going home smelling like pee. My dogs have a gps on them and i can see how much energy they spend and they spend a lot! So im happy to bring back sleepy dogs home, especially after a long day at work! Looking forward to bringing them frequently! :)

My dog got a great haircut there. He loves going to daycare which is wonderful cause he has anxiety issues. Very Happy.

My Samoyed loves this place. I tried three different day cares and this was the only one where she wants to go in. Doesn't even bat an eye when we leave her. It's because they have human-dog bonding time and play games instead of just letting dogs free-play/roam all day. They also upped their social media more this year, which is fantastic. I love scrolling through their IG stories to see my dog and other dogs - you can see they are all so happy. 10/5 stars!!...if you guys could open up another location in south Burnaby then 100/5 stars <3

Had a great experience with boarding my puppy at DogPlay. It was my first time boarding my 8 month pup who has separation anxiety. When he returned, he was exhausted from all the fun times he had during his stay. They also post photos/videos of the dogs frequently, so I could see my little guy was having a good time away from home with all the other dogs. All the handlers do an amazing job caring for the dogs, and really take time to understand the dog's behaviors, and are happy to give feedback and answer any questions. I highly recommend DogPlay!
