If I could give this place a zero, I would.I will disclose that I've visited this store in the past but a recent visit has basically eliminated any chance of me visiting again.I decided to go into the store and browse to look for some new summer tops. On previous visits, I'd be greeted when I first entered the store but for some reason, all 3 staff members were unavailable even though one customer was at the cash register. As I was browsing through the store, I sensed someone was following me and saw one of the staff members pretending to fix the shoe rack (as it wasn't messy). I then moved to a different area of the store and she followed me again. When I eventually confronted her, she denied she was following me, didn't remember my face, and said she hadn't moved from the cash register all day (she said she was there since the morning). I knew she was lying as she was the only staff member on shift wearing a mask and that was the person who was following me. In addition to this, she kept trying to pin the problem on a staff member who was no longer in the store and that they followed me when I asked if they were present in the store when I was (they weren't, by the way). It's absolutely ridiculous how I was treated by this so-called manager and it's wild that she thinks this is good customer service. Looking through older reviews, I'm not the only customer this has happened to and if Torrid keeps this up, they won't have many left. They are not the only store in Toronto that caters to plus-sized shoppers and their overpriced clothes are not unique in any sense of the word.

This store had an awesome vibe in the past, but my recent visit on May 29, 2022 was disappointing. One of the people working was very intense and wasn't approachable or friendly to staff or guests (including myself). The store was extremely hot and apparently hasn't had functional AC for the 6 years they've been open which is not right! It was mandatory for staff to wear masks in unbearable heat, even though government mandates had been dropped.Teah was assisting me and she was amazing! She was friendly, attentive and had an awesome vibe, despite the challenging working conditions. She made my visit more bearable - thank you, Teah!Torrid Management: I hope that you read these reviews and tune into what's happening in your store. Working conditions for your staff and customer service need attention and improvements.

Usually when I take my mom to shop here, the staff is super nice, however today was not the same, she didn’t tell me her name, but I remember she had green hair. She was super rude, and basically told me I should look for her, o ask for her help, when if she’s working at customer service she should be asking me if I’m doing okay.Usually the staff is very attentive, I am very disappointed.

I had a lovely experience at this store last week whilst on holiday in Toronto. The two sales associates (I think they were Alison and Ellen? I am so sorry if that’s not your name - I mainly remember beautiful silver hair and a coffee addiction!) were incredibly friendly and helpful and I came away with 3 new pairs of jeans. The only reason I have marked down a star is because the store didn’t have as much of a selection as others/online.Thank you for the shopping experience. We Brits aren’t used to being treated so nicely when shopping.

Would love to shop here..this location is closer to home. Everytime I go here I'm just followed around, not greeted and felt like I am not valued. I have to travel to the location at Scarborough town to be treated like a human. Not sure if they are just racially profiling people..but not okay today or anytime

One of their sales associates offered me a free shirt for my sister if I gave her my donut and so I give her my donut and then she says I still have to pay for it full priced

Incredibly expensive and for a plus size store, I've noticed that their in-store sizing is quite limited. Most pieces go up to 4x but there are few, of any 5-6x. I shrugged this off as I'm not that size anyway (however, knowing several people that size I tend to peep), but my size was mostly sold out on almost everything I liked. And what I liked was few and far between because I can only have so many floral skull prints, graphic tees, and could shoulders. Oh and don't forget the baby doll tops. There is little to no accessibility. Mobility aids would not fit into half this store, esp plus sized people with mobility aids. I am only a 1x and I have to squeeze into spaces. I inevitably left without buying anything because i need some simple and comfortable items to fill my wardrobe as I'm disabled and have also rapidly lost weight so I have almost no fitting clothes. But, because I'm disabled, if I even bought one tee shirt, I'd have to forgo 20-30$ of grocery or bill money. Like, even Walmart has better looking stuff for less than half the price.
