Cranky's Bike Shop Unity Square

The people are knowledgeble, they have good products and friendly service. However if your looking for any type of repairs or service in a timely fashion do not go here. Something that I have gotten done multiple times at Mud Sweat and Gears in a couple of hours routinely takes days for them to get finished. I think they have just one mechanic. Not 100% sure though. If you are shopping, great place. If your looking for service/repairs avoid going here unless you don't care about how long the wait will be.

Very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff! Quan took the time to help me to get a better understanding of what bike features would be the best fit for me and set up a couple bikes for me to try out! Would definitely recommend this shop!

This was my first bike purchase in 20 years. Tyler helped me on my first visit to the store. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. I had multiple questions and he was able to answer everything for me. With his help I picked out a bike that I am very happy with. My second visit I had Sky help me. We picked out accessories on the day the bike was ready. She was also very helpful and knowledgeable while making sure I was completely happy with the accessories I was getting. Tyler came over and checked in on the second visit as well. I could have purchased a bike from any store but my experience with Tyler and Sky will have me coming back to this Cranky's location. They did an amazing job and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my new bike.

We just bought two Electra e-bikes from Cranky's at this location. The staff are excellent. Very helpful and knowledgeable. They took the time to help us ensure that we purchased a bike that fit our needs and then took the same amount of time post purchase walking us through the proper utilization and care of them. I hadn’t checked out the newer location on Unity Square until today. I needed a singlespeed chain and live near by and thought it would be a good idea to check things out. The crankys website said that the had the KMC 1/8 chain that I was looking for. When I got there, the person working the service desk was trying to find it for me in their system and in the store but couldn’t. They told me that unfortunately it was at their St. Albert location but did offer to transfer it to the Unity Square location which I appreciated, it wasn’t specified on their website which store’s stock I was looking at. This was just a minor inconvenience and is really no big deal. They did seem to have lots of stock of other chains at this location, but to not have any singlespeed options was a bit disappointing. I wasn’t able to pick anything up on my first trip to this location. But the store is nice, pretty open showroom with good utilization of the space that they have. Staff were friendly enough. Good spot for a bike shop.

Great guys on the repair desk. Big shout out to Jessy who went above and beyond to solve a brake problem I had. Been to see them a couple times and always happy. Pricing is very fair as well.
