Great service, was easy to leave a deposit and get on the list, wait wasn’t too long, and the quality of work is excellent. My vintage bass has never sounded better!

It takes a long time. They do a rather good job. Neck replacement with Fender warranty was very long. I was offered a aging finish to fix a problem on my Jazz 60th anniversary. It doesn't look like someone took a rasp to do the job like on Fender factory basses. Sadly I had a set of old chrome flat wound on my 70's anniversary that needed the neck replacement and they didn't had those and charged me for the strings. It's a costumer lost situation of a good more expensive set of string that it was on and aged flat wounds sounds hell better. Still am going back there for a neck on an other bass.

Absolutely superb ! The skill and total focussed care given to me and my bass guitar , to get it back in good working order right there on the spot was so impressive. He ran, searched, tweaked and fixed, gave all his attention and was extremely generous. Wow, it is rare to get this kind of care anywhere !

I have come to this place to lower the strings on my guitar. And they told me - there's two months waiting period. I decided to wait - and that worked out just fine. So, the place is a guitar repair shop primarily - I was surprised to read reviews where people complain about Montreal Guitar not carrying their favorite belts or pedals - this is not Archambault. I've spoken to three people there - all three very nice, very straight to business and very knowledgeable. They take your order, log it in, send you an email with confirmation... Everything is very top-notch. Loved the shop itself - very authentic, very inviting. After two months waiting they took my guitar in and a week later I got it back in a perfect shape. In my opinion this place is impeccable, hence, probably, this lengthy waiting period. There are 100 other guitar repair shops in Montreal, some way closer to my house, but I'd rather stick with this one.

Love the service and the atmosphere here. Unlike so many places, these guys are really welcoming and chill. They're busy as hell and will still take the time it takes to make sure you leave satifsied. And for do it yourselfers like me, they got the quality parts you need here. I'm happy to be done spending hours online looking for parts and paying expensive shipping. Thanks guys, keep it up!

I had forgotten just how well my Martin played. Montreal Guitar might have even made it better than when I originally bought it... I can't put it down now.

An all around excellent guitar repair and customization shop! I took it as a good sign when they indicated there would be a 2 month waiting period. They open a file for you ahead of time, record your needs over the phone and give you a preliminary estime. When they notified me to take the guitar into the shop, they only had to keep for about 1 week. They worked on my custom made arch top, fixed the electronics, adjusted the truss rod and dressed the frets--it plays better than ever! I felt reassured leaving such a guitar there; they took pictures of it upon arrival, assessed its condition and adjusted the estimate. They send you a file number and estimate by email. This is a very professionally-run and friendly operation. Maybe pricey, but definitely worth it for certain guitars. Check out their feathercaster guitars, made in-house--really nice!

Total pros! These guys are not cheap, but they know what they're doing. They made my 1982 Guild acoustic, which has been through some unfortunate climate ups and downs and had nearly unplayable action, play like a brand-new guitar. Super vibey store. And these guys know what customer service means. Toby is a super cool dude who will patiently answer your questions and treats you like an old friend. My first choice for guitar work in Montreal.
