Hakim Optical Bay & Queen

Tammy is great and makes you feel really welcomed in the store. The friendly atmosphere and the staff there makes a big difference. I have been to many Hakim locations and walked out because I was ignored by staff. However, two years ago I decided to try this location and really appreciated how attentive Tammy was. Since then, I have travelled from North York to Queen and Bay whenever I need new frames.

Excellent service by Adela at the Queen and Bay store. I had a couple of small repairs that she was very kind to assist me with. Very quick thorough and friendly… Great service.

EXCELLENT!!!I damaged my lenses by sanitizing them and had them replaced at Hakim. I'm really happy that I went there because I wasn't ripped off like last time elsewhere. Tammy helped me out and she was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, answered all my questions, and I'm absolutely delighted with the fast service and experience! So much delighted that I'm posting a review. I also found out that my last pair of lenses were not only cheaply made, they were indeed wrong for my prescription and there was no way of 'getting used to it' - the distortion that I complained about many times to the past retailer and was dismissed multiple times. I'm glad that now I know better! What a relief it is to be able to finally see clearly! Thank you Tammy for the insight! I highly recommend Hakim on Bay and Queen!

I took two pairs of glasses in for repair. Even though they weren't originally purchased at Hakim, they did the repair quickly and very inexpensively. I had just come from a store advertising eyeglass repair and they wanted $30 just to put in a lost screw, whereas Hakim only charged $3! Looked like they had a great selection, and I would go there for new frames or repairs in the future.

The representative that helped me, Adela, was so lovely. She allowed me to try on as many glasses as I wanted, and in fact, encouraged it. I had a horrible experience at the Bay and Grosvenor location where the representative said I could only try on 3. Adela also took the time to give me honest feedback on different frame looks. Thank you for your patience Adela!

I found their pricing strategy dishonest and deceptive. They don't list prices on the glasses anymore. Just a letter, which is supposed to indicate a price. Why not just display the price? I think they are trying to trick people into buying more expensive glasses.

I feel that they treated my quite well. No complaints at all, and I thought the service was excellent.

There were three staff members when I visited this store. One guy and two women. One of the women's name is Adela. The other woman does not have any manners. She needs to be fired from the job ASAP since she is least bothered about customers. Also I don't understand why the staff asks for your address even though they don't have to deliver the glasses to your house. Unnecessary information. Its high time that the management of Hakim takes notice of so many negative reviews for this store
