Very nice rooftop patio with a good amount of tables. Going for the happy hours is a must! Great selection of craft beers and sours and they all taste really good. Can't say I like the sandwiches much, but the flatbreads are great.

Great drinks, fries were delicious!We sat out on the patio and we were served right away. We ordered some drinks and food. The drinks took a little bit to come. The fries were great and the pizza was pretty good, it needed a bit more cheese. The food also took a little while to come out. It was busy when we were there so it was understandable. Staff were friendly - they were doing their best to serve everyone and you could tell they we’re trying to cover a lot of tables at once.Overall we enjoyed our food and drinks. There wasn’t really anything too special or memorable that I would come back right away. But it’s good option for a bar with a roof top patio and street patio in Kensington.

Had a wonderful afternoon here. Wonderful small plates - fritters, beef tartar, and summer vegetables were fabulous. Service was friendly and welcoming! Natasha took care of us and did a great job!

We have been frequenting the Free House since they opened, here is what we love. Great Food, Desserts, Local Beers, Attentive Service, Friendly Staff, Laidback Atmosphere, Lovely Interior Decor, Rooftop Patio, and Cloth Napkins.The new Royale with Cheese is a must try burger.

Great working staff, I will definitely be back after the service from the waiter and others. We sat outside and when it started raining outside we were allowed to stay under the umbrella to watch it come down. Staff still wanted to tend to us even though we told them they didn't have to and we could come in for orders. Great grouo of people!

Sat upstairs in the beautiful outdoor patio. Nice plants and spacious. Great views and people watching, the chairs were uncomfortable though. Nice servers, a little slow on service but loads of patience for hard workers who just need a few more people working those busy times. Management should address this so I can give 5 stars next time.Cocktails, beer and wine selections were great. Had the spicy Marie and the Caesar - both well made and unique. Had the Cubano, smashed beets with goat cheese and the braised lamb platter. Very impressed with this pub" food. It was definitely elevated

We decided to come here because we wanted to check out the Kensington area of the city for our first time.We ordered the pork chop, Reuben and the pork belly. They were amazing!The porkchop also came with duckfat potatoes which were out of this world!My friends scarfed down their food too and were very excited to return there next time they came to town.The server was super nice and seemed to enjoy his job.The restaurant is clean and looks so cool inside and I guess if you're that big of a fan of the place, they have merch up front.Overall I would recommend this place to everyone!

I use to love this place but I find that they have had a major “identity” crises! It’s a Craft Brew House, and they don’t have fries or yummy grease-filled appetizers, instead they have ricotta toast, lol but no brewhouse type food. The menu doesn’t make any sense! The last nail in the coffin, they are hosting, drag queen, brunch! can we just have a restaurant as a restaurant, can we just have a brewhouse as a brewhouse! Can we just have a coffee shop as a coffee shop! Another woke company following the agenda! Ugh. Will never step foot into this establishment again, oh and they didn’t have the upstairs patio open, on the most beautiful day!

Food here was awesome, we had the beef tartare, potatoes, flatbread and dip and a sandwich and it was all really good. I belive we were served by the manager, didn't get his name but he was awesome and super fun. The mojito and passion fruit beers were to dieee for.

I unfortunately am having to change my review for this place I love. For about a year I've been coming here fairly regularly because I adored this place. Great beer, great food, great people. But since the menu change my feelings on this place have really soured. Still great beer and great people, but really overpriced and odd food choices. On top of that food is extremely slow to come out even when not busy.I don't know what's going on, I miss the pub food and the punctual service. I'm struggling with my strong affection for what FREE HOUSE used to be, which I loved, and what it's become. Staggeringly mediocre.I still love the wait staff, bartenders, and manager Matt and want to give them so many props for the friendly environment they make. If not for their diligence in creating a welcoming atmosphere I probably would have stopped coming shortly after the menu change.
