U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer

Keep reading - it only gets worse unfortunately. The WORST customer service experience of my life. I had a trailer booked to pick up and received an email confirmation with an equipment GUARANTEE, as well as my reservation confirmed online through the Uhaul website. When I showed up to my scheduled appointment, NO ONE was there. I called the number provided for this Uhaul dealer and he wasn't even in Fort McMurray! I called him only to find out that he did not have a trailer for me - no heads up, no email, no calls, no nothing to let me know this. I drove from Anzac to Fort McMurray to pick this trailer up, so it would have been very nice to know it was no longer available before I drove all the way into town. I'm at this Uhaul dealer by myself and he isn't even there to help make other arrangements. It's a long weekend and it's too late to contact anywhere else, as they're all closed (I'm supposed to be moving the next morning). At this point, I am praying and hoping that I can call somewhere in the morning and hopefully find anything else. Later that evening, I got an email from Uhaul that my reservation had been cancelled (I did not cancel anything, as I still need a trailer to move). I call the number provided and the customer service rep tells me that my reservation was cancelled because I didn't show up to my appointment to pick up my trailer - when the Uhaul guy was the one who wasn't there and cancelled my trailer without telling me!! How shady!! The following morning (when I'm supposed to be moving already) the Uhaul guy calls me to say he's magically found a trailer for me but I need to meet him in 20 minutes (I live in Anzac - not going to make it to town in 20 min) and to meet him in a random location that is not a Uhaul location (sketchy). Do not do business with the Ubuntu/Gregoire Drive location. This experience cause so much extra stress during a moving period that is already stressful.Thankfully - customer service connected me with the Uhaul location downtown (Marshall Street), where they were able to get me a trailer (smaller than the one I had booked, but better than nothing).

The representative showed up forty minutes late without the key to the truck we rented. Served two other customers while making us wait for him to go and get the key and then tried to charge nine times the quoted price
