I recently took a class of English 30 students for a meal and cultural experience to Afghan Chopan Kebab. We had just finished our study of Khaled Hosseini's A Thousand Splendid Suns"

This is one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! Had the chicken tandoori and it was amazing! The owner Mohammed was very kind and we had a great conversation with him. Will definitely be going back.

Went for dinner here with my extended family. I was very impressed with the food; the Lamb Shank was buttery soft; the meat practically melted off the bone. The roasted chicken was the same - tender and juicy. The Afghan rice was delicious and reminded me of restaurants I have tried in Toronto and Vancouver. I've never been to Afghanistan, so I can't tell if it's authentic, but tasted good to me. We shared a plate of Afghan dumplings (Mantou) which were also fantastic. For a Saturday night, the place was practically empty. We didn't have to fight any crowds or wait for a table. The service was incredibly fast considering the complexity of the food. The owner had a unique sense of humour which was very endearing; he refused to charge us for the last cup of tea because my kid didn't drink it. When I told him to charge me anyways he said, God is watching me

Decent place to have halal afghani food. They have good serving portions and made fresh. The staff was good too during lunch time. They have dedicated free parking at the back.

if I could choose 0 stars I would. went to Afghan chopan for takeout I chose a kebab platter for 59.99 and somehow it ended up being 72.99 on the debit machine asked the guy whats up with that his answer was oh taxes. never mind that bad first start I go home to eat the food with my family open it up and its all soggy, raw meat, and a total disappointment. litter raw chicken and the beef was soggy and wet like liver pate. drive 20 minutes back to afghan chopan to return the food and get my money back and the guy yells at us that he sold 178 platters that day and thats how the meat is suppose to be and that we are not getting our money back its part of his policy. so we ended up leaving the food on the counter and walking out......

2/5 UPDATE MARCH 2019: so, i got a chance to visit the place again. I ordered sekh kebab and soup. Sekh kebab was dry and not at all juicy and portion size of meat is way too less than the price they are charging but rice portion was satisfactory. only good thing i like was their fresh salad. for kebab, 0 tasteless. so im updating my star from 4 to 2.Old review: ordered kebab platter. food was tasty..long tasty rice, chappali and sekh kebab, low steam bbq chicken and chicken boti mouth watering.. and they provide complimentary sambosa and salad.
