YYOGA at the Richmond Olympic Oval

The community vibe here is incredible. The staff and students are super friendly, warm and caring.I actually had feedback on a class recently, and was hesitant to bring it up but am so glad I did. Janella really took care of the situation quickly, went above and beyond to remedy and provide insight. I didn't expect such personal care and am so grateful.I've been coming to Yyoga Richmond since it was on Ackroyd back in the day (I was still in high school!), and have lived abroad for much of the last 10 years only visiting when I come home to see family. It's a beautiful experience to have seen the studio evolve and grow over the years.I love Carol and Linda's classes! They each uniquely bring a good physical challenge alongside beautiful, wholesome philosophies with their teachings. They also emit love and are so welcoming.Thank you to everyone in the community at this studio!

I had a great experience when I went in for hot yoga last Friday. Janella made me feel very welcomed by helping me get acquainted with the facility and signing me up for classes. The class was great for a beginner like me and I feel that I learned a lot! Will definitely come again!

Writing this simply with the hopes that improvements can be made. I've been a member of the YYoga franchise at various studio locations on and off for nearly 10 years now, and tonight's yin/meditation yoga class at the Oval location was the most disappointing experience I've had.The instructor was truly impossible to hear. I felt more stressed out being there, trying to pick up on what she was saying (which is really the last thing you're looking to feel in a yin/meditation class!?). Everyone else there also looked confused or seemed to be using the class as an opportunity to nap or do their own thing.While I understand that something like a lapel mic might not be the vibe, I'd at least expect an instructor's voice to be able to carry over the low hum of background music. I know this sounds harsh, but it really felt like I was just paying to take a nap with strangers while someone walked around quietly mumbling.When I told the front desk staff about my experience (Laura, who I've already seen feedback about, below), she was dismissive and her attitude quickly turned cold.While I'd like to give this studio location another try, because I live in Richmond, it doesn't feel worth the cost when I know I can just drive elsewhere and have a positive experience.

I can’t say enough how Yyoga at the oval has been instrumental in keeping my overall health and well being in check. I appreciated the measures they put in place over the pandemic to allow members to practice in a safe environment. Facilities are great, allowing you access to showers and locker rooms at the oval. Studios and sauna are always kept clean and sanitized. But what makes this studio so special are the people. Welcoming and smiling faces that greet you as you come in, a range of teachers that bring their own unique and beautiful energy to each and every class. From beginners to seasoned yogis, there is a place for everyone here. Thanks for making it my second home. ❤️

Every YYoga location has its own vibe, but this specific location has a beautiful sense of community. The participants call the space their home away from home, and for good reason; You feel welcomed as soon as you walk into the studio. As a teacher and practitioner, I’m always inspired when I walk through the doors and step onto my mat. There’s hot tea, an infrared sauna, ample parking, friendly staff... the list goes on. Experience the magic for yourself!

I’m giving YYoga 5 stars because I love that their teachers really care and take time to give a very well put together class. Their front desk staff are always so kind and greet me every time I enter and say goodbye every time I leave! The Richmond location is super clean and I love the atmosphere! Two weeks ago I was randomly selected for an act of kindness day and was gifted an organic soap, it was such a nice touch and it totally made my day. Yyoga is definitely doing it right!!

The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful which makes my yoga experience wonderful. I have been to few Yyoga studios and this is one of the best. It’s very spacious and clean. You can enjoy the complimentary tea in the tea lounge to relax. However it’s better to allow extra time to find parking as it’s multi-sports arena in case if there is any event.

First time doing yoga and the girls at the front desk and teacher were amazing. Check in was easy and I appreciate their patience with first timers. Such a peaceful and happy space. They take such great care of you here and truly made my day. Definitely coming again!

Highly recommend Linda Li who teaches at this yyoga location! Been her student for 2 years and I have to say that I am always looking forward to attending her classes. Her welcoming and warm energy truly motivates me to put in my best effort during class.

I have been with Yyoga for many years. I have found this place gives me the best yoga experience. I have always been the Richmond oval location, and it's super clean. Staff is friendly. Service has always been beyond standard. I love their instructors! I have to mention Linda Li, so inspiring and powerful! recommended! Their sauna has opened after covid, and their tea are also healthy and delicious!
