Star House Restaurant
Usually hit and miss on food quality but it's ok. Our recent visit started good, however we had an extra plate delivered to our table. We asked the table next to us if it was theirs, which it was. They did not want it as it was at our table and asked for another one. The food plate was left at our table. When we received our bill, the extra plate was added. We paid it and took it home, but very disappointed to have to pay for their mistake.

Food is decent, but the casher working to closing on weekends has some issues to sort out I think.I ordered two items on website, and was charged 36 bucks on the receipt, went there to get the food and pay for it and she charged me 56. I told her that she typed the wrong amount and she gave an excuse that it's because of tax, of course I would like to think she made a mistake and never realised it, but after I asked that she check the price one more time she showed me the bill which had 36 bucks written on it, and I told her that the debit machine she consciously typed in had 56 bucks on it and then she just walked away all frowning, into the kitchen and told the owner to deal with me.Look, I am not asking that anyone to be all cuddly and nice when you have to work on the weekends, but when someone is telling you that there is a mistake, maybe check once before you act on your over-inflated ego. It's not too late to be all self-righteous after you checked.Edit : I increased the rating to 4 star because I've heard that server was let go for whatever reason. However mental the server was, credit should go where credits go, food is still very decent.

We stopped by here to grab a lunch. Food was great and made to order. Due to pandemic, pick up order only. If you guys are going to pass by in this town Cache Creek, B.C, stop by in this restaurant. Support local business.Recommended to all.

Amazing Chinese food!!! Piping hot, super fresh, huge portions, friendly staff!!! Ordered two dinners for one. Spring rolls were delicious!Drove to cache creek for a night from Langley. Saturday night. Was apprehensive but more than pleasantly surprised and amazed!!!I don’t think we have had Chinese food this good in a many years! Planning a trip back just to have it again and cannot keep talking about how good it was!! Packed up the leftovers and had a second dinner which was equally amazing!Great job star house!!! Will recommend to anyone passing through cache creek. A gem in the rough!!!!

We had hot and sour soup which was delicious. My wife and I split the #1 combo it too was top notch. We were both full when we were done. We are just passing thru otherwise we would eat here often.
