Great place. This was my first visit. They had about half the trails open, as this winter hasn't been very snowy. Beautiful trails with waing stations throughout. Nice clubhouse with a warming fire.

Spent the entire afternoon snowshoeing - trails are well marked in most areas. I wish I could tell you exactly where we had a slight problem finding the markers, but it was a quick fix nevertheless.The ski trails we saw were well groomed that it inspired us to try it next year. I would highly recommend it for all winter lovers!

KNSC offers both beautifully groomed ski trails as well as off-the-beaten path snowshoe trails. We enjoyed snowshoeing a loop from the main chalet to the Laderarch cabin and back. The Laderach cabin was made cozy by the warmth of the wood stove. We used the stove to boil some water for hot chocolate and to toast our cheese scones. Back at the main chalet, another blazing wood stove awaited us, with two rocking chairs in front of it. The scenery on the trails is soothing and peaceful, and all the amenities at KNSC are inviting, comfortable and well-maintained. A wonderful destination for a day on the snow!

Kim and Hugh were amazing instructors, very patient, detail oriented and going over all the techniques required to enjoy cross country skiing.The trail is well maintained and lots to explore.Rental equipments were in great shape too.

For sure the best ski trails in region. If your a beginner or expert you will find trails to challenge your skills.They daily and seasonal rates are really economical to boot so give cross country skiing a spin. You will like it for sure.

What a luxurious skiing experience!From immaculately groomed trails, to quality rentals and little add-ons like warming up fire pits, this place is a must visit if you like skiing.With the multitude of trails suitable for all levels of both in-track and skate skiing, you can either hang out closer to the facilities or venture on an 18 km adventure into the woods (we saw a couple of deer on a remote trail.)Thank you for your hard work, Kawartha Nordic Ski Club team!Tips:The trails are emptier during the week. Try to arrive before 11am on weekend (you won't be able to enter once the parking lot is full). Plan to arrive even earlier if you are renting equipment to make sure they have your sizes (fill out and print out and the rental form and bring it with you to save time.)

Kawartha Nordic is amazing. I love the fact that I can go night skiing (just need a headlamp for the trails). There is a short track that is lit up. The chalet is simple, but provides a great place to warm up. I love how the trails interconnect so you can ski the perfect length and difficulty. Membership rates are incredibly reasonable.

I’ve been a member of KNSC for a number of years. What keeps me coming back is the variety of trails for skate, classic, backcountry, and snowshoe. The grooming is world-class, and it’s not very far away from Peterborough!
