The only place I want to end up

Due to my all too recent experience, I have only high praise for the care, professionalism and compassion given to me by Tod Lavender from pre-planning to completion of services. My unfortunate task was made easy and simplified by his understanding of my desires and perfect, timely implementation.

I recently lost my Mom, just before Christmas. Tod at Ainsworth was able to make the experience so much easier. His kind and considerate approach, along with the excellent process and checklists were such a relief. I went through the experience with my Dad a decade ago at another funeral home, and the difference is staggering. There is no simple way to go through something like this, but Tod was able to deal with so much of the paperwork and details, and even lighten the situation with some respectful humour, taking such a weight off of my shoulders! I cannot express how wonderfully we were treated at Ainsworth. It was a difficult time and the attentiveness and thought that went into helping us make arrangements, both for the funeral and winding up estate affairs exceeded my expectations.

Because of their poor planning and mismanagement I missed my brothers internment!There were many small unfortunate things that happened during my brothers funeral. Everything from poor seating management, the hall staff finally brought around very few benches, no where near enough to accommodate the guests, and didn't tell anyone they could sit, they were actually left standing in a line in the adjoining room. Poor instructions (ie none at all) given to speakers, most were not heard as they were not given the privilege of a brief sound check. All of this aside, I could put this down to inexperience, what I don't understand is how the basics of keeping the family of the deceased together and informed could be so completely mishandled. I was caused such distress, grief and pain when the procession to the grave side left without us. No directions were given to us thus we ended up getting lost in the county, We not only felt ditched"
