I met Diogo when he was hosting an open house, and I had the impression that he was knowledgeable in the field beyond just being a sales person. And unlike every other open house he didn't even try to recruit me to be his client, which was refreshing compared to the usual 10 minute speech I got from agents trying to sell themselves.A couple days later I phoned him and explained I was looking for a type of property rather than a specific city anywhere in southern Ontario, and I couldn't guarantee I would buy through him if I found a place outside his range, but if I bought someplace he showed me he would get the commission. He agreed to those terms and we quickly arranged to see a batch of houses in London, St. Thomas, Woodstock, and Tillsonburg.Diogo grew up in London and was knowledgeable about the city and surrounding areas, which was helpful to me since I had limited experience with the region. He was also helpful in technical details like construction, materials, defects and proper (or improper) repairs. He was responsive to my questions and flexible, including letting me participate in the house inspection (through video on his phone) when I was sick the day there of.In short I would describe Diogo as more consultant than sales person type of agent.
