Our baby decided to join us 1 month early & we were quite unprepared. We knew we wanted to capture our growing family but his early arrival meant we did not book in advance. Emily's flexibility to take photos of our family on fairly short notice was so appreciated.Initially, I was a little hesitant about taking the photos in our home but I am so grateful we did. Being at home definitely helped our 7 year old feel comfortable in front of the camera. I should also mention that not having to pack up & get in the car was very convenient amongst our newborn chaos.Emily ensured we were comfortable & confident in front of her camera. She gave direction when needed & was also very easy going & helped us have fun with it!I am so grateful we chose Emily to capture this special time in our lives. I wanted to capture some special moments with my family, being pregnant with our second and then once he was born as a family of 4. I had never done professional pictures before working with Emily, and was quite unsure of how it would go with a toddler running around! For our maternity session, I was so impressed at how she was able to capture such wonderful pictures all while our toddler was running around like a wild child. And then during our newborn photoshoot, she was able to wrangle her into some really wonderful family photos. My favourite part was how comfortable Emily made the kids feel, it really made the whole experience so much fun!Emily is local and extremely talented in her art. I strongly recommend her!

I've used Emily twice now, and she is always such a joy to work with. She makes the entire experience easy and fun for our kids, which is no small feat. I still don't understand how she can get so many great photos of both kids smiling, but she does it with ease. Her turnaround times are quick, and I am always amazed with what she sends to us. Emily is wonderful to work with. We have a two year old and a 6 month old, so I wasn’t sure how our session would go. But Emily is so laid back and let the kids be kids. My partner and I have 3 children and him and I are having our first biological child. With this being our 4th child we anticipate it being the last as we already have a big family. Since this may be my first and last biological child it was really important for me to have amazing pictures of the pregnancy. Before meeting Emily i was really nervous about taking the pictures as i felt it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and i didn't want anything to ruin it. Being a perfectionist I was really concerned with the quality of the pictures and how they would turn out. But I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Emily was amazing! The whole process was amazing and she really tried to make us comfortable and she was extremely professional. Our pictures sneak peak really revealed how talented she is, I am so glad that my maternity pictures were taken by her as they turned out great beyond my wildest dreams. My favorite part of the session was the direction that Emily provided on poses and were to look. For image composition it can be important and her guidance really helped me and my partner look a little less akward while being photographed! It really helped make the pictures stand out more :) Looking at the different photography options in NS I really think that Emily's price range is affordable and the quality you get for it is above what the price reflects which i trulyAppreciate. Emily captured beautiful newborn photos for our family. Before the session I was concerned it would be stressful with a brand new baby but Emily made it a relaxing and enjoyable experience for my husband and I and captured some beautiful shots of our sweet baby girl. We loved that we didn't have to travel and Emily did a great job of using the natural light in our home. I would 100% recommend Emily Grace Photography for family/newborn photos and we look forward to working with her again in the future.

Emily is a warm, down-to-earth person that made my newborn shoot as comfortable as possible. I was worried my 3-week-old wouldn't sleep for the shoot and of course she didn't - she fussed and made faces the whole time! But Emily was very good at capturing the moment and working with it, producing wonderful intimate and cozy images. I loved that she incorporated elements from my home, like my musical instruments, and helped guide what to wear so we would look great and timeless together.

Emily has done many sessions for us as our family has grown. She is so wonderful to work with, she makes you feel calm and relaxed which is not an easy feat with children. She always manages to get the best shots and her attention to details like light and positions is stellar. We love having her capture our family and hope to continue to do so!
