Sweet Belgian Desire
I have gone to this restaurant for over 6 years. I visited about a year ago, and I couldn’t drink my coffee as it tasted like Maxwell House. I figured it must have been an off day at the restaurant, as I expect high end coffee from a restaurant known for Belgian waffles, delicious and beautiful food. The last time I visited, I asked prior ordering what coffee they brew and I was advised Maxwell House, the cheapest coffee I can find in the stores. Very disappointed to say no to coffee with my breakfast.The service was not what it has been known for… Needing to order and pay for your meal prior to the service being rendered? Am I at a fast food restaurant now? I like to be seated, take my time while seated to order the food at my own pace without a lineup waiting at the door. I always give a second chance, but after being served the cheapest coffee, having to order and pay like a fast food restaurant and the food being okay, I unfortunately will not return. If the coffee can become delicious again, and the service can be rendered at the table, only then may I consider returning.

I’ve been here a handful of times now, and I have nothing bad to say whatsoever, super friendly and helpful staff, and the food is amazing, I usually go for the club sandwich with a poutine (Highly recommend) it is truly the best club and poutine I’ve ever had! I will definitely be back in the future to try the rest of your amazing menu! Thank you!

Portions were a little small. I ordered typical breakfast eggs hash browns and toast. The toast was really dried out, the eggs while I asked for over hard were crisped up and dried out and the hashbrows were dry without any flavour. Others with me had waffles and eggs Benny and enjoyed that. Plus were the big mugs for coffee and tea@

Amazing food and the most amazing service!After a 12 hour ride, this was exactly what we needed. Best breakfast we had in a very long time and the staff was extremely accommodating! We were even allowed to tie our dog to the back porch to have him in view and were given a fresh bowl of water for him.We’d give 10 stars if we could!

It seems to me that this place is pass it's glory days. I have read good reviews, but our experience was mediocre. They only offer half service, which is not ideal. I have asked for fresh orange juice and California Benny. I got a small glass of the Tropicana juice, not freshly squeezed (for $6.5.....) so that was a bit of a disappointment. My poached egg was slightly overcooked and hollandaise sauce was not exactly to my taste. But some people might find it OK?....?

Sweet Belgian Desire is a great place to relax and eat , specially the Bennettic eggs and the Hollandese sauce, and oh my God that exquisite mexican Coffee with the amazing waffles!!! Thankyou for your kind warm and service!! And I am comming back!!!!

First, I was greeted by the friendliest staff. They have a quick service set up so I was able to order within 5 minutes of arriving and my drinks were at my table less than 5 minutes later. I ordered a Mexicano and it looked and tasted amazing!!Our food was hot and delicious. We got strawberry waffles, Belgian breakfast and a traditional breakfast. The portions were great.Highly recommend this restaurant!!

Lovely place, all the staff was very kind. I had a Bennedict eggs and they were delicious also I had some waffles and Belgian Coffee and they were great. Definitely I'll be back
