Sylvan Learning of Abbotsford

Our family has participated in Sylvan Abbotsford programming for the past 2 years and their environment has exceeded our expectations. There are three main reasons, we choose the Sylvan math program for our son.First, we wanted a supplementary program that would be customized to the specific needs of our son. This means: fix gaps in his understanding, attentive to his specific questions, and teach at the pace of his learning.Second, we want math to remain a fun challenge. Often in the Public School system, there are naturally kids that struggle in math and it becomes cooler to fail than succeed. We wanted an environment where it was always cool to succeed in math.Third, we believe because of our son’s interests he will need to be fluent in math for his future career path. So, it’s important for us to invest in this for him to have the best chance at achievement.Sylvan Abbotsford, is under the leadership of teaching expert and highly talented, Bonnie Poznekoff. She provides regular reports and meet-ups to connect with us so we can approach the process as a team. I am grateful in my son’s math progress and he has thrived in their customized program through consistent delivery. Sylvan has made math a no big deal in our house which as a parent leaves me over the moon.

I am very happy with the progress that my kids are making in their Sylvan education.They keep the kids engaged and make it so they want to keep going back. They are great readers and enjoying math edge. I highly recommend taking your kids here for any extra help!

My son Alex has been going to Sylvan for a little more than a year. He started as a non reader and he can now read with confidence. He even surprised me by reading for one hour on his own. In his own words, It's fun and they are nice. " I highly recommend the learning centre to anyone who wants to see progress in a warm and caring environment."

My son has been very happy with the teachers he has worked with. I am pleased with the level of 1-1 instruction my son has with the teachers. The open learning environment is inviting however a challenge for my son who is easily distracted. I appreciate the communication I have regarding my sons progress. overall I am happy I chose Sylvan over other learning facilities.

I rate the Sylvan Learning Group 1 star due to the fact that one student currently attending the group, Indervir Sahota, has been recently bullying me during class. Furthermore, it can be noted that he often says rude things about one instructor, Bonnie, and I feel that this is very inappropriate. They should not allow such students to attend, and it has compelled me to tell all my friends and family not to enroll their children!

Our Son has been going to Sylvan Learning in Abbotsford for the past 2 months. I cannot believe his progression and how quickly the centre has helped to improve his reading level. Our son went from not wanting to read in front of people to a confident fluent reader. Our Sons teacher has also seen a noticeable improvement. The reward system Sylvan uses really excites the kids. We cannot thank the centre enough for what they have done for our son.

My son has been attending Sylvan for about 10 months. I have found all of the instructors as well as managers to be friendly, efficient and open with their communication. I've noticed a big improvement in my son's confidence and ability in reading & writing. I would recommend this location to anyone considering this option.

My daughter has been attending Sylvan for a month now and I have noticed her confidence increasing day after day! Thanks so much to the wonderful staff and mentors that assist the kids every class! Very impressed with Sylvan. They have been very proficient in helping my son, who has had difficulty through Gr. 1. He fell behind in reading and math due to COVID closures during his important early years.We are very pleased as he is excited for each session and is making great progress. He was anxious about spelling tests at school, but through the first couple months at Sylvan, his confidence has grown immensely. Thank you to all the helpful staff at Sylvan! Highly recommended!
