Delicious food on beautiful tableware. I especially loved the hamachi and the ravioli. The restaurant itself is getting a bit dated and you can see the wear and tear.

We had a wonderful time at the Bacchus Restaurant. The food was delicious and perfectly arranged, the service was attentive and outspokenly friendly, the ambiente was chique and it was not too loud. It's worth a visit while in Vancouver and if you like haute cuisine.

Had afternoon tea on a Saturday and there was live music and an all around great atmosphere. Beautiful restaurant, incredibly good food - we were so full that we didn't get to try the crumpets that came with the tower. The servers were very knowledgeable and attentive. Will definitely come back!

Beautiful decor, fabulous service, and delicious fine dining. The live pianist and dark ambiance were lovely touches, and the women’s bathroom is grand.I absolutely loved the light freshness of the hamachi crudo, and the ricotta mascarpone ravioli was mouthwatering as well! This was a meal I will remember for a long time.

I came here to celebrate a late birthday/Valentine’s Day dinner (which they didn’t know since the server never asked us how we were/if there was an occasion were celebrating).I have been here before and really enjoyed their service, ambiance and food however this time I was really disappointed.. We ordered a bottle of wine, 3 drinks, kusshi oysters, the foie gras torchon, beef duo, ravioli with an add on of Hokkaido scallops and a side of cheese toast. The kusshi oysters and ravioli were good and confit cheese toast was mediocre. The foie gras had Saran Wrap on one of the portions, the scallops were so thin and cooked to a rubber consistency and the beef was not seasoned/ seared properly and because of it being sous vide and not having a proper sear the texture was just mush and bland I literally made a Costco steak at home 2 days prior and that was better. (at that point I didn’t complain about the steak since all the other things have happened already and it just felt awkward at that point..). The manager and our server both apologized many times and the manager offered to comp our foie gras, ravioli dish with the scallops, and offered us a free dessert.Even though our server was apologetic I just felt like the overall service and experience was not as top notch as when I first went here back in 2018.. it didn’t feel like a “fine dining”restaurant. I also went to high tea here a couple of months ago and the service we received was good so I felt that it was strange. We were seated in the small room area and I saw how our sever would interact with other guests (older than us) vs us and we just didn’t feel welcomed there. It was my partners first time there as well and prior to that I was telling him how good it was but we both ended up leaving very disappointed. In the end we ended up paying around $300-350 ish and I feel like we could’ve just gone to another restaurant and had a better experience/food.1st pic: you can see the Saran Wrap on the left piece of foie gras2nd pic: steak duo with no good sear as u can tell from the steak literally3rd pic: “Hokkaido scallops” that are thinner than frozen scallops you can get at grocery stores and it’s not because HS are like that, just the way they portion it.

Tried the dine out menu, thought it was decent. Ordered the tartare, steak and the sticky toffee. Server was really nice and friendly. Ambience is filled with a live pianist in the background.

We stopped in for a cocktail on a rare sleepy Saturday night in Downtown Vancouver and were delighted to hear the live piano, intrigued by the great character of the other patrons and filled with the cheese and wine. It was a lovely experience.

We went here during Dine Out Vancouver on a Monday night. The restaurant was busy with a great vibe.Their 3 course-dinner menu they offered was amazing. My choices were, Ricotta Mascarpone Ravioli Trio, Lightly cooked local steelhead and Apple Galatte. The other choices were just as delicious.Service was excellent, the atmosphere was good.Highly recommended.

I was dining alone, yet I felt very taken care of--nit a second class citizen at all. E service was fantastic and the did delicious. The oysters were very good and shucked well. The Italian Greens exceeded my expectations. I also had the herb--crusted halibut special. Th portion was just right. The crust was crispy and flavorful, but not overwhelming, and it did not dry out the rest of the fish. It was moist and silky. The accompanying vegetables were also prepared quite well and I was able to enjoy the individual taste of each. I cannot remember the last time I had such wonderful zucchini. It was cooked perfectly and tasted delightful, as did the carrots. Highly recommend trying Bacchus.
