Paradise Corner Children's Centre

So here’s the thing about this place: I recently met a mother at a neighbourhood park who has both her children in this centre and I was telling her about how I had such a difficult time trying to get a tour or any programming information. They want you to call them and hound them several times before you can get any further than an initial phone call. They don’t return your calls. Apparently, they write your name down in an agenda book and if you are not consistent in calling them, they scratch you off and you have to start over. Finding daycare is hard enough and practices like this do not make things any easier for parents.Also, it helps to “know someone” in order to get in. I was told they are also “old school” in their approach (not sure what that infers) but all of this, plus the fact that they aren’t registered with the city, leads me to assume they purposely want to weed out certain kinds of children/parents from attending this daycare. Who they want to exclude, I am not sure, but based on the extremely high cost, I can only speculate…

I can’t say enough wonderful things about having my son at this center! We have had a fabulous experience. All of the staff are exceptional, caring, nurturing, warm. My son has bonded with his teachers and I am confident dropping him off everyday in a safe learning environment! Highly recommended! ❤️

Both my daughters attended Paradise Corner years ago. It was an absolutely excellent experience! The staff was wonderful, the programming was terrific - everything about it was fantastic. When my daughters progressed to kindergarten at the local schools, teachers and other parents marveled at their reading abilities. We were all sad to grow out of Paradise Corner. Several neighbours have followed our recommendations to take their children there, to their equal delight.

I called several times to book a tour, however the daycare director, Jill never got back to me. If that is how they treat adults, I would worry about my child there.

I just called the centre 5 minutes ago and asked about available space for my child and the lady literally laughed at me. ARE YOU KIDDING! I am an RECE in the field too and I know spaces are limited but to laugh at someone when inquiring, that's disgusting! First impressions are long lasting.
