Door Express 2007 Ltd

I paid over $5000.00 for a front door through my building contractor in November 2015. The door took FOREVER to be fabricated and delivered in March 2016, but the interior casing was cut incorrectly. It's now August 2016, and we still don't have an interior casing. Our contractor has called repeatedly for the correct casing and they get NO answers. I want this issue settled NOW, or they can take their door back and I'll take a refund.

Door express blew my expectations out of the water. After reading the reviews on it i was expecting to be sworn at and to never get my product. A short 8 weeks after it was ordered (6 weeks after it was promised) we received the product. Not as ordered mind you. The whole time the ownership team was kind and courteous even laughing at themselves and the lack of deliverance on promised product.Final verdict would be save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. Although being from Winnipeg i would like the chance to visit the shop in tropical BC somedays...

Go somewhere else! Glen at Door Express claimed I would have doors in 6 weeks.... took 17 weeks! Plus an extra week because the doors got held up with the shipping company due to Door Express not paying their bills! Nothing but false claims regarding everything from timing to quality workmanship. I received the doors to find numerous deficiencies and the worse milling of hinges and strikes I have ever seen. Also pencil marks, scratches, and jagged edges. Their tools are in desparate need of sharpening. When I tried to contact Glen regarding the defects I received no response until I sent a message weeks later with obvious disappointment and anger at which point he claimed he passed the message on to someone else.... Blame Game. High turnover in staff (I spoke with 5 different receptionists in 5 months) is a good sign of a poorly run company. Don't waste your time here!

As with the other reviews on here I would rather give a zero than 1 star, don't deserve it! DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. Like the other reviews say, Glen literally told my husband that he couldn't return the money for doors not delivered in our order because he had no money! We finally got a check out of them after sending my husband to their shop to pick it up. We tried to cash it, but the bank said the funds were insufficient, BIG SURPRISE! They said to come back in a few days and check again, and they could also hold the funds with a certified check if the funds were there. We finally got our money back but the whole time dealing with Glen and Berenice was a headache that you don't need when your trying to do a renovation. Not only did we have to wait weeks after they promised the doors, but then wait until they could deliver them. Glen promised to deliver the doors on several occasions only to back out, and then we find out that the doors weren't even ready at the times he said he could deliver them! They didn't even have our order completed, due to what they said was problems with their suppliers. So they were making promises they couldn't even deliver on. Berenice promised our order was almost ready and we had to send a friend of ours to their shop to see if they were actually a legit business and were building our doors! When Glen finally delivered the doors to us in the Okanagan, he showed up at 11pm and didn't even have the full order. His excuse was that the shop guys must have missed some of the items. You would think as the owner, and driving 5 hours to deliver a door order, he would check the order to ensure it was all there. On top of doors that were missing from the order, they had doors that were hung on the wrong side, and one door that didn't have the right slab, they had hung a crappy flat slab in the jamb and said they would send the right one later. They never said anything about this when they said the doors were done and being delivered. I told him to forget the rest of the order and replacing the crappy slab and I wanted my money back for those items. Not only did I have to fight with them about getting my money back (as mentioned at the beginning of this review) but we had to wait almost as long for the return of the money as we did for the doors!If they would have told us in the beginning that the doors would take 8 weeks, instead of the 3 weeks they promised for filling the order and delivering, we would have been able to plan for that and been fine with that timeline, but they tell people it is a shorter time because they think that will gain a customer and make them happy and get the deposit.FIND A DIFFERENT SUPPLIER! I wish I would have seen the reviews before using them. They have a really professional looking website and when you first deal with them they are super helpful and friendly, until you pay the deposit.....then you have to do all the work of following up, trying to get them to return calls, etc. Once we got to the point of them owing us money back and the door order not being right, they never answered their phone. I tried emails to all of them, even their accountant, and phone calls to business and cell numbers and they avoided us. That's when we decided to have my husband physically go there to see if they were even still in business.

I've read the reviews and let me say this. They are very busy and much better priced than many companies out there so be prepared to go back and forth a bit. Yes there were some delays and had to stay on top of things but in the end, the payment terms were great (although they don't take credit cards), and the product we received exceeded expectations. A 50 wide solid Walnut door with jam and frame made to precision. The owner Glenn delivered it himself to ensure I received on time. Eileen was helpful and as long as you stay in communication they deliver. I'll admit they are an independent and very busy small company so it may be a bit unorthodox but we are very pleased with the end result. Preferred pricing for quality products comes with some trials but well worth it. Thanks Eileen and Glenn."

I bought 4 shaker doors from Doorex that were on sale. When I arrived to pick them up, the owner (Glen) showed me around the showroom and was very friendly. The staff were courteous to me as well. The doors were high quality and great for the price! Would shop from them again based on my experience and the exceptional customer service.

I agreed with the other reviews here. My order was also delayed by one month. I was originally told 6 weeks lead time. At the end I got my doors on the 11th weeks. 3 weeks of delay was due to me not knowing my door specification at the time and the owner had to drive to my place twice to confirmation specification. So I would say they that were responsible for the other 2 weeks of delay. All in all, I can bear with this kind of delay as long as the finished product is of good quality, which these guys did indeed delivered. Half a star off for the delay and half a star off for that they could have done a better communication job.

Worst customer service ever.We run a custom woodworking shop an included two doors for a client we are working with so we could spray it at the same time as the railing. Ordered the two doors about 2 months ago. Glen said it would take 3 weeks. After many times of calling and checking in the said they would be delivered last Friday. Today is Tuesday and I got an email from them requesting I pay the bill and that they were ready for pickup. I arrived to pick them up and the guy was still sanding them! They said they finally glued them 2 days ago! I could not believe how many times I had been lied to by the employees and how this company can stay in business with such a flagrant disregard for their customers. If you value your time in the least I would avoid this company like the plague!

Buyer Beware! This company Door Express has a F" rating with the Better Business Bureau. I ordered a pre-hung fiberglass door at the beginning of July 2014 and was told the door was in stock and they would have it cut to size and ready the following week. Two weeks later they called to say the door was not in stock and they had to order it. Nine weeks and several phone calls later (none of which they returned) they called to say the door was ready. When I went to pick the door up I had to get them to change the substandard sill they had installed. If you choose to deal with this company be forewarned."

We ordered approximately 12 custom made doors from door express. Door express took over 8000 dollars our deposit money and never produced any of the doors. We currently have a court order, the checks have bounced 7 times for repayment. I contacted door express to collect and it has been one lie to another. I would highly recommend finding another business to deal with.
