Vzzz's Caribbean Catering

Absolutely incredible experience. Vzzz’s Caribbean Catering is a small, black woman-owned business and their new location here at Westdale is a must-try. I’ve never had Caribbean food quite like it—you can taste the hard work and passion Veenece puts into every dish.I had the pleasure of seeing her cook and trying the Baddish, their signature jerk chicken mac and cheese. It was a huge portion and the chicken was insanely flavourful (and I’m not normally a mac and cheese lover)! The garlic shrimp on top was juicy and paired perfectly with her house-made cajun butter sauce. Next, the fried jerk chicken and plantain burger was a stand-out to me. This novel combination for me was so delicious, I’m already craving it! The chicken was huge and well-seasoned, the plantains added a unique and slightly sweet touch, and the eggs, hummus, and shrimp married all the flavours and textures together. Lastly, the plantain balls (mashed plantains with spices, fried and served with her signature Cajun Buffer sauce) was unexpectedly tasty! A great balance between sweet and savoury, which of course, was elevated with her versatile sauce (which you can also purchase in a bottle)!Generous portions, flavourful food, a cozy atmosphere, and the friendliest and most passionate chef/business owner! I cannot recommend Vzzz’s enough!
