If you are needing your wedding dress altered please consider looking somewhere else that professionalizes in wedding dress alterations. Here’s my experience: At my appt it felt like my time was disrespected. The guy talked at me for about 30 minutes before even considering asking me to put on my wedding dress to look at it. I ended up needing to tell him I had to go as I had plans which prompted him to move a bit faster. After looking at my dress, here is what we he quoted me: $980. I was shocked at the price and even more shocked that he quoted me $90 PER bustle and he only had 2 bustles quoted out. The train on my dress is super long, so to only have 2 bustles would’ve been a tragedy (ripped dress) waiting to happen (to add context, my dress now has 14 bustles to ensure it’s super secure). Here’s a little more context, the woman I ended up going to specializes in wedding dress alerations and quoted me $14 per bustle. How do we go from $90 to $14? I paid LESS for the entirety of alterations on my dress at another place (with someone who does upwards of 500 wedding dresses per year) than I would have if I had stayed here at Cheung's Tailor Alterations. It seems they didn’t want to alter my dress and instead quoted me an insane amount to keep me moving on. As if I’m an inconvenience. This is my wedding dress we’re talking about. One of the greatest days of my life, and this guy made me feel like an inconvenience. I would not recommend them. I’m sure they do amazing work on other clothing items like suits or shirts and pants, but again, if you’re needing your wedding dress altered consider somewhere that will treat you like you and your wedding dress are top priority.

Not a better tailor shop in the twin cities. Make an appointment they get back to you quickly and get your clothes fitting right! I live 30+ mins away and will still travel to use them.

Did an amazing job adding pockets into a very important pair of shorts. Had zero problems and they were very helpful and knowledgeable! Definitely recommend and will come back if I need more alterations!

They floe on a tight schedule, but once your in their small team is personable and easy to work with. They are knowledgeable and provide all options available to help you makr the best choice. Would greatly recommend their services to anyone looking for alterations.

I have always been greeted politely and had a wonderful experience and left feeling confident the alterations performed would be to my liking. I have NEVER been disappointed.

I thought that I needed bridesmaid dress hemmed so that I wouldn't trip or have issues with moving in my dress. They educated me on how a dress should fit and where the different pieces of the dress should fit or how it would be altered to fit correctly. While it turned out I just need a little higher heel and I wouldn't need any alterations all of the knowledge bestowed upon me was greatly appreciated. I didn't end up needing services provided by Cheungs Tailor this time, but they are going to be my go to Tailor in the future. 10/10 would recommend to friends, family, and strangers.

Very positive experience getting my wedding dress altered here! Very knowledgeable. The tailor wants to make sure you understand the options, the impact of each option, and is upfront with expenses associated with each option.

I love this shop! It is open at insane hours! Why, yes, I would like to come in at 6:30 on a Thursday for an upcoming event. They are knowledgeable and upfront with pricing and most importantly will tell you what does and does not look good. Cannot recommend enough! From weddings to funerals, they have always come through for me.Like any really good business, this place is cash or check only!
