PADS does an amazing job training puppies to be service dogs. Our pup has changed our lives and we're just training him. If you sign up to be a raiser then you get a dog, the food, all your vet bills etc covered. You just need to go to a training session each week.

Pads society is awesome just need to support those training thier own dogs! We are valid teams to! Our dogs aren't from Pads but we need support not just be denied service! Pads need to tell Trans link not all dogs are from guide dog school. Pads society told CTV News 2015 I have a copy for you! If you don't have a certificate, papers from your doctor are sufficient until you get one. By law officers agreed with Pads that should be fine! However, you need your doctor to say he is your service dog you are training him. If you can get proof your taking public access test!Have that with you and document! If work with pads society you won't be denied service, you will have awesome support! I think Pads society ought to support those training thier own guide and service dogs, no thier not from Pads but we're training them to be guide and service dogs! No schools should just let us be denied service we could just get a member ship with pads until we could pass the public access test, but Pads you need to tell TransLink! Otherwise it's hurting those training our own dogs! Common Pads shake a paw so those training thier own dogs don't continue to struggle! Awesome!

I am a volunteer puppy-raiser with PADS. This has to be one of the most genuinely kind-hearted and do-good not-for-profits on earth. The work they do (with relatively limited funding, always looking for more fundraising opportunities of course!) is absolutely life-changing for recipients of their assistance dogs. They do amazing work... And of course the puppies are wonderful and adorable.

Really love what these folks do. Tons of volunteers giving heart and soul. And the dogs themselves are absolutely adorable. Give them your time or give them your money. A great work they're doing.

They do amazing and important work. It was a privilege to be able to come by and volunteer some time to do some cleaning. Organizations like these need our support. The value that an assistance dog can provide someone who needs one is immeasurable.

PADS is a for profit monopoly. They take almost 4 years to deliver a service dog because the demand for such so much exceeds 'their' supply. The costs of their dogs are in the 'tens of thousands' and they do not want private trainers to enter their protected market space! BC residents know all too well how restricting competition (ride-sharing) has empowered the current Taxi driver 'nightmare'. One small group with a loud voice controls the lives of countless others. PADS continuously lobbies governments to restrict competition which includes creating unrealistic 'tests' for dogs from private trainers - tests that 'PADS' trained dogs DO NOT have to take! Seriously! If your relative was disabled and you had to wait 4 Years to get a dog - and then also come up with $25,000 - would you think that this situation should continue? Paid employees with a monopoly that is geared to serve the few and by design, hurts many. Be ashamed. Be very ashamed.

As a long time PADS puppy raiser volunteer, many fond memories are from interaction with PADS staff, the volunteer community and of course the dogs.Highly recommended for people who need a little more dog in their lives, want to learn how to train the dogs to make a real difference in some other person's life, and are looking for a noble cause to spend some quality volunteer time on.

This site prohibits all that is good about service dogs. Who do these people think they are getting to decide what is or is not a service dog. I pity the poor people of Vancouver and all this does is take people who love their pets and have them declared as service dogs only to have them torn from their arms since this now defines which animals can and cannot live in pet restricted housing. How nice that all they do is drive dogs from good homes to shelters. My mother in Vancouver lost her dog from her pet restricted housing where she had a psychologist note. These people are in for profit.

We just signed up for an information session. They are very well organized, in all aspects of breeding, welping, raising, training, support, and retiring their dogs. Some of the service offered by their training are:1. Accredited Facility Dog (AFD)2. Hearing dog3. PTSD4.They follow through with their values through and through. Always remaining respectful, accountable, acting with integrity trust and transparency.I am thoroughly impressed by this organization and what they offer to the community, country and internationally. If you have a spare moment, know someone in need, or a spare dime, look into this program. They are incredible.
