We just moved here from Ontario and we're missing our crystal shops back home, we were very happy to find this place on Google and we just had the chance to go and check it out in person. Please see below for my reasons for the low rating.... picture attached of our purchase.Pros: absolutely beautiful shop, lots of treasures to discover and a large variety of incredible trinkets, from crystals to books to everything you need for cleansing & smudgingCons: chaotic energy and very loud atmosphere. The customers were talking loud amongst themselves and the staff was even louder. I had a hard time trying to pick any crystals out as I typically do it intuitively but I was bombarded with the chaos around me. We're use to shopping in places that are a bit more quiet so you're able to connect with what's around you and that wasn't possible here (perhaps shopping on a weekday might be better). It was more of a stressful experience than we're use to so hopefully today was a one off.

Explored the store briefly. I'm from out of town but the atmosphere was like visiting a good neighbour (really - i'm not hamming it up). undecided after poking about some, i started back to my car in the grey and the drizzle but ducked into shades for a mani (also a great spot). i sauntered back to Lobelia's to buy a decorated singing bowl for my husband after it resurfaced in my reflection repeatedly. In there with several locals, I laughed warmly and walked away, bowl in hand, with a lovely experience.

I’ve been in and out of so many Metaphysical Stores and always left feeling defeated and unhappy. But Lobelia’s was like a dream. A kid in a candy store. I couldn’t believe all of the amazing trinkets, crystals, oracle decks and everything a witch could dream of! I couldn’t help it, myself and my boyfriend went a little crazy. Spent a lot of money but SOOO worth it! The girls are amazing, helpful and just really beautiful huamns!

When visiting looking for items for a gift I was greeted as soon as I entered the door but couldn't see the congregation of employees surrounding the front desk. After not receiving any assistance for 15 or so minutes I asked about a product at the till where two ladies were talking. One lady with curly dark hair looked very annoyed and the other with auburn hair was quick to show me what I was after, a more expensive version of what I was asking about. I liked it more so I picked it up and got to the till where the lady with the dark curly hair seemed to have no interest in being friendly, engaged, and made me feel unwelcome and unwanted. No eye contact, no pleasantries, and certainly not friendly or personable at all.Much preferred this establishment with its prior direction and name. It now seems like a soap and crystal GAP.

My FAVORITE store in Nanaimo!!! I especially love the new layout- the vibe is so inviting and calming! The new owner, Stacey, and staff are so kind and helpful! They have an AMAZING selection on stones and crystals. I am obsessed with amethysts- and they have such beautiful ones! I add a new one to my collection with each visit! It’s also my go-to place to get unique gifts and cards (stones, GORGEOUS jewelry, books, lavender sage….so much selection)! I HIGHLY recommend!!!!

I find this store to have the best range and selection of metaphysical products of any metaphysical shop I've visited, including Watkins in London and stores across Canada. I always look forward to visiting whenever I stay in Nanaimo.The staff is extremely kind, passionate, knowledgeable and experienced. The readers and other service providers are all highly skilled and great at what they do.I can't recommend Lobelia's enough! Not to miss!
