I called there looking for help while I was in a domestic violence situation and they told me they could not help me! And to just change my locks. They are completely useless! When someone is getting physically beaten and emotionally abused Every day and they’re asking for help and away L and I’m I am asking for a way out and you can help me it is disgusting.

Does a good job for women but I don't see them helping men?Practically everything in the society is female centric especially medical and human services as outlined by Dr Helen Smith forensics psychologist in USA.Instead of painting men as demons perhaps we should try to understand the whole situation and perhaps not support Legacy Media that dying a slow death mainly because they are still stuck in the stone ages and they still promote polarization demonization?

i couldn't believe how terrible this Hiatus house treated me when i needed their help, the present day supervisor that they have, she is a racist, very mean person, she instructed all the staff workers and the social workers there in this Hiatus house not to admit me or try to help me in any way, such an Evil racist canadian woman , normally canadians are loving people but this people here treated me like trash!! i was running for my life from an abusive relationship, but because i was a black woman with child, they completely refused to offer me a room, they said, their supervisor instructed them not to help me and to say they had no rooms available, but the next day, a white woman got accepted and she was offered a room, i strongly recommend that this supervisor get fired, to whom this may concerned, thanks ANOTHER WOMAN came from the united states and she was admitted , but i was told because i came in windsor from another province, i could not be helped

This facility is disgraceful, and the workers are now complicit in allowing a pre-op trans woman" to invade women's spaces and SA them in a institution that is supposed to protect women against this kind of gender-based violence. Where is the outrage? Are we going to wait for this to happen to an innocent child to speak up against this? I have family in that area that will NOT stand for this and will hopefully be protesting this place. The Hiatus house and the city of Windsor need to do better

I was put in a situation when I first arrived where I was obligated to give information I was not comfortable giving. Having been through extensive amounts of abuse, and having experienced emotional, psychological and physical violence, I am obviously dealing with a lot from that trauma, and I felt completely disrespected and pressured by the staff there. When people go through serious trauma and turmoil, making the person feel like they are simply a number going through the system" and regular old "process" lacked a great deal of humanity and/or compassion

The community there is so kind and patient with you. When I escaped my forced marriage , every time I had an anxiety attack coming even in the middle of the night, they were always there to listen. This place was like a home to me. I’ll never forget about how kind everyone treated me , thank you. - Sitarah :)
