I have been taking my car to Discount Transmission for years now. All of the employees are very helpful and easy to speak to about all car issues, big and small. The staff always explains exactly what is wrong with the vehicle and total cost (which has always been reasonable). One thing I really appreciate is how staff always shoes you the damaged part they have replaced/repaired and explains how they have fixed it. This makes me feel confident in the services they provide. I highly recommend using this company.

I will never go to any other shop again in the city. These guys here are pros. Not pushy at all and extremely honest. John one of the mechanics here and owner I believe, even talked me out of getting a few things because he says it wasn't worth it. Brought my wife's car to check transmission. They told me $600 to repair. Also said it needed struts replaced and engine head gasket also needed to be replaced, another $2000 over and above. Brought her car to another mechanic. He added a little fluid to trany but said there was no leak and that the struts were old but were fine and safe, as was the head gasket on the engine. If you're looking to get work done on your vehicle, stay clear of this place.

When my car would not start, I called about 4 places and this was the only place that would take a look at my car that same day. They also deal directly with my warranty so I don't have to worry about filing claims. Very professional and very quick. This is my go-to mechanic for my car.

Amazing service. Went for a oil change and asked if they could change my brakes for me and right away they said yes. Got the parts delivered and in and out within a 1 1/2 hours. Price was good and very reasonable. I recommend Discount for sure. I will be back.

It was nice for me. I went with a suspected problem. They said that, they will use their tools at first to identify the problem. It will take 50 bucks. After that they will give u the estimation of total work. For my case, there was no problem after the checking. So i paid only $50 for the checking charge.

Service was excellent , friendly and knowledgeable. They repaired my transmission for the quoted price and it drives like new again ,we are very happy and will be back.

A local dealership quoted me $9400 for a new transmission for my 2017 Dodge Caravan, and gave no option for repairing my old one. In addition, they said there was a back order on transmissions, and they couldn't tell me when one would be available. To me, this is unreasonable, and seems like they didn't want my business. Fortunately, Discount Transmission was able to rebuild it in 3 days for $3800.

I had my son's GMC truck brought in to a dealership for a transmission diagnostic. What they found was the third gear was gone, which I suspected all along. I was given an estimate and a timing of two weeks. I authorized them to proceed. A week and a half had gone by and I never received a phone call to let me know the status. I called the dealership and was informed that they're still waiting for the parts and told me that further delay is possible. Needless to say, I canceled the repair order and went to Discount Transmission, which I have never used for repair before. The owner, John, did the diagnostic and came back with the same feedback as the dealership did which is a good sign of honesty. John gave me a reasonable estimate for rebuilding the transmission and a week timing for completion. I said, proceed. The work was done on time, no additional charges, very clean job, showed me all the parts that were replaced, and the transmission was operating flawless. I told John, you've just earned a new client for life. Well done John and staff at Discount Transmission!
