Camp Otonabee

First and last time I will send my child to overnight camp at this place. He was homesick and crying and asked to call home. They told him no and made some excuse about the wifi which was obviously a lie. They did other things to cheer him up but they should not have lied to him. He was also being bullied by his roommates and complained to two different staff members but nothing was done. The other victim of bullying in the room was given another spot in the cabin, but my son was offered nothing so he suffered through it all week. This only contributed to the homesickness.Some meals sounded fine and others sounded lacking. One day his lunch consisted of a wrap filled with jam, with sides of chips and vegetables.Very little sleep was had due to the late bedtimes and early mornings.As well, the staff mixed up the schedules and my son didn't get to participate in the high ropes even once the entire week.Add to that the dissorganized drop off and pick up.He was in tears on the way home telling us about everything.Never again.

My 10 year old daughter went there for a week and had am amazing time. The counsellors were great

Best camp I ever went to the counsellors are awesome did care about how the campers feel. I recommend this camp to anyone who wants a fun summer camp.

My son had the best summer. It was his first year here at Camp Otonabee, but it will definitely wont be his last!

This is the second year my kids have attended Camp Otonabee. Everyday they get off the bus tired but happy. They get lots of fresh air and exercise, learn new skills, and challenge themselves. They are so proud of how much braver they were this year on the ropes than last. Highly recommend this canp.

Great place for both adults and kids!

This is a great place to overcome challenges and form life long memories. The staff is fantastic and the sleeping accommodations are decent. Accessibility is limited for people using mobility aids (wheelchairs) but the staff does a good job of accommodating needs. Overall great place!

Our kids love this camp - and the staff needs to be applauded for keeping kids safe and helping them to have fun in trying times...
