Sobeys - Portage La Prairie

I was heading through on a road trip and was using the nearby supercharger in the parking lot. This store was well organized, had lots of fresh produce, prices seemed fair (compared to BC, everything is fair) :-). I had a little trouble finding the deli prepared food but found it and was able to pick out something tasty. I didn't need to ask for help but the service I received from the cashier was prompt and professional.

The store was clean and organized. They did not have everything we were looking for but the staff was knowledgeable and assisted.

Not a fan of the change to Scene points and it would be great to have a greater number of smaller carts.

Very clean always got the help we asked for and the shopping and checkout is great . Tho when there's half priced stickers the scanner should have it already reduced . Great overall . Happy holidays

Crazy expensive! Everything is super overpriced!

What a disgusting plac and careless employees. I bought a package of arugula this past Saturday and didn't open it to use it until today. I was astonished to find a dead frog inside. I immediately went back to Sobys to return this disgusting package and complain about how can they sell such a product without checking it first. There where two costumer service employees at the front desk and when I explained what I found, all they could say is that's so disgusting and called the employee in produce to come to the front. When the produce employee came, the customer service employee advised him of the situation and he smirked and laughed. I was shocked at his reaction, not even an apology from any of them. They then proceeded to ask me if I wanted to get another one or get my money back. I assumed they would do more then just that and what I endured. I told them I want my money back and left immediately. I will never go back to Sobeys again.

I was looking for turkey sausage and they didn't carry it. I was disappointed but the meat guy was very friendly.

RACIST STORE! Went to sobeys yesterday looking for freezies for my kids,They had none so I left without buying anything. I get to my truck and security came and accused me of stealing, while at same time he's peaking through my truck windows looking for idk what? He starts yelling and screaming at me calling me a thief. This store is racist! I'm sure if I was white this wouldn't have happened to me. They follow natives around store, bc if ur not white , ur a thief! Will never shop at this racist place again. And the manager Steven blocked my cell after I called him and made a complaint. Wow!smh

This location has just about everything you need, they have a gluten-free section and an organic aisle.The staff is extremely friendly and helpful in all the departments and the cashiers tend to be pretty quick!At this location you'll find an In store Butcher, Bakery and Deli!The produce is fresh and the shelves are well stocked.It's a Great place to do your shopping!

Poorly manage on their scene points program. They’ll post sale tags, showing what points you can accumulate with dates in order of sale. I did not receive the correct amount come cash out time not even close…the cashier said at the end of our transaction there was nothing she could do.
