my mom got a donair and i got fish and chips, the donair was chewy and the bread was so soggy you couldn’t lift it. my fish was dry and very bland tasting. for the price? not worth it. very disappointed with the food. the server was very nice tho!

Very quick service at the pond. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Caesar salad was very good. Other dishes were extremely cheesy which isn’t a bad thing!

Best pizza in the Truro area Nova Scotia, except it's in Bible Hill, sorry Truro!So we are now in August of 2020, The Pond has moved location since my review above.We had a pizza tonight for supper and I am VERY SORRY, I am, to say that it is not as good as before the move, either they have a different cook or ovens, both my wife and I were somewhat disappointed. The pizza's edge was thin and too crispy for my taste. The cheese on top was overcooked too. May be they are out of practice, I mean they been closed since before Covid-19 happened, we will try again later, give them time to iron out the kinks and see if things will improve. To us it WAS the best pizza.Review of my review. We went on the 5th of April 2023. We tried the pizza again and I am sorry to say that it is not the pizza they served at the old restaurant. There's something missing, it's too bad because it was our place for pizza before they moved to this place. The service is still stellar, our waitress had wings I'm sure, she was all alone at first and managed to quickly serve 2 large groups and many other customers and we all came in at relatively the same time within a half hour. The food came out fairly fast considering the number of patrons in the place.

Service was great! But the food not so much. Mashed Potatoes had a grainy feeling and didn't really taste like potatoes, steak wad very fatty.Husband got the donair and didn't really taste like donair meat.

Nothing special, but it's decent for the price. They usually have a special on for 9.99$ for a 15 inch pepperoni pizza. However there's not much to it as I can eat three quarters of it myself in one sitting but I guess you get what you pay for when it's $10. There's quite a bit of pizza places in Truro and this place usually isn't on my map when it comes to picking up pizzas but they sent a coupon book in the mail so I decided to give it another try but it's just mediocre at best when it comes to pizza. The donairs are delicious but alot smaller compared to competition around truro. They should make a bigger size to compete with the rest, that's one of the only things holding me back from giving this place a higher star rating.

We went for supper last night. We ordered a donair with potato skins and an order of nachos with chicken. Horrible food. Everything was very obviously heated in the microwave. Donair meat was chewy like it would get being heated in the microwave too long. You could tell the skins and the nachos were cooked that way as well by the way the cheese was cooked to the paper that was on the plates. Honestly, the skins tasted like they were reheated from the night before. So disappointed. Never going back.

Ordered the party platter, everything was crammed into one small container and the deep fried food went soggy and slimy, food was not edible called and told them about it guy on the phone was not apologetic and said “next time you order it ask to put it in separate containers” and offered nothing else

Third times a charm - If I could give lower I would…first time had to send my order back because they were nuggets, not chicken fingers…second time ordered a pizza and I’m not lying when I say it was legit RAW the dough was not cooked, had to throw it out…third time these were my nachos……went back again to have them remade…second pic is them doing “better”

waited an hour for fish and chips and salad and could not eat fish was raw and salad was full of dirty gritty lettuce… atmosphere was awful staff complaining about how they hate it there. Really gone down hill used to enjoy the food.

Very disappointed in the meal. Order a donair was soggy, meat was chewy, very little onion's and tomatoes not fit to eat. Poutine was not great caned gravy, and no cheese curds. The waitress was awesome though.
