Martine's Bistro
Had a wonderful dinner experience with pleasant waitress Deborah. Husband and myself enjoyed appetizers of Escargot and Tiger Prawns. Entrees were Seafood Linguine and Cajun Tuna...Excellent. Definitely a must if you've never been.

Excellent customer service, fast friendly and attentive. The food was simply phenomenal. I had the duck and it was cooked to perfection and the accompanying sides were delicious. Baked brie Appy and creme brulee dessert were both excellent. Atmosphere is electric, though the place did tend to be quite loud, if you were looking for a quiet intimate night out it may be a bit lively of a place to allow for a quieter conversation. That said, I would highly recommend this Bistro for an amazing dinner, their excellent service in a lovely and lively restaurant.Make reservations, you will need them!!

We had an incredible experience, all around last evening, from the moment we were greeted until we left.The food was delicious! I was accommodated for my food allergies by the chef. Our server, Deborah, was very professional! The decor, view and ambience was wonderful! This is best restaurant we have experienced in the Como Valley. It was our first time there, but will not be our last.Thank you to all the staff!

For this restaurant to be called fine dining is a joke! The servers don't ever smile and don't care to be kind at all. The cook is horrible. My husband had the prime rib and it was a huge chunk of fat, one of the worst cuts of meat I have ever seen. A chef would have never put that on the plate. I had the turkey schnitzel from there special of the night and the combinations the cook put together did not match it was was the worst I have ever had. I will never go back. Don't waste your money, believe me it won't be a nice time because of the miserable Staffing everyone hates working there you can tell!!!

While visiting my sister in Courtney I wanted to take her and her husband out for a birthday dinner and after researching a few restaurants in the area I gave her two suggestions. Apparently this is her favourite spot, so we went and she is obviously a good judge of eating establishment as the meal was delicious and service was perfect. We had four different dishes and everyone loved their choice. I had the lamb shank and it was delicious. I then had the creme brule which was amazing.

Nice atmosphere and garden. Good service.However, the food was just ok. I ordered $26 fish and chips and I think the fish had been pre-fried and then heated up in a pan...my food came out in under 5 min after ordering it and the bottom of my fish fillets were nearly burned. Flavor was bland.

A good meal with very helpful staff. We had a wonderful time celebrating a 60th Anniversary. The appetizers, entrees and wines were good. This day the halibut on smoked salmon risotto was overdone as was my lamb. Hopefully today was a bad day for the kitchen.

Clams were great, lamb chops were over indulged with balsamic vinegar marinade and overcooked. The restaurant was very busy and maybe understaffed. Not sure we’ll be back.

Just had a fantastic meal at Martine’s for my birthday. I had the salmon… superlative!!!! Husband had honey garlic ribs, he sucked the bones clean and said best ribs ever!! Dessert was flourless chocolate cake with ice cream, we wanted to lick the plate clean(husband did a pretty good job getting the last drop with a spoon though. If there was above excellent that would be the comment for the food, service was also excellent with a twist of humour and flair. Such a good evening.

We had a fantastic dinner for my Mother-in-law's 90th birthday.Absolutely brilliant food and service( thank you Nelly ). The owner actually ran out and bought more lamb as we ordered 5 portions.( thank you Marcus ). The appetizers calamari , caesar salad and escargots were perfect.I ordered the seafood linguine which was the best pasta I've ever had. Highly recommended. My new favourite restaurant. Sorry not the best photos.
