This location is convenient for parking and links with the main K&P Trail Connector after a short 5 minute walk. There are about 10-12 parking spaces. There is a wetlands area along the westward route where there are plenty of waterfowl to see from the trail.

Decent parking spot for the K&P trail, the parking lot is very bumpy not the best for cars or bikes. Has a small map, I would probably prefer parking at one of the other K&P trail heads, even by the movie theater.

I live here in the woods , for the most part I absolutely love it, to wake to the sounds of singing birds , to feel the morning sun on your skin , and of you don't mind the sounds of the 401 it's a place where you can melt away Into nature's bosom. The swamp offers a chorus of singing frogs at dusk and the mosquito population that it houses certainly keep ya hopping . , I would recommend a visit but keep in mind , if there is a homeless person living around in the woods, please give him privacy, and don't disturb them, they have enough negativity in their lives

Trailhead of K&P Rail Trail Connector
The parking lot has handicap parking, but a person with a physical disability will not be able to walk far on the trail. Just past the beginning of the trail, there is a barrier to prevent motor vehicles from using the trail but it also prevents walking on the trail. To get around the barrier you have to walk in the mud on either side of the barrier. This entrance to the trail could be greatly improved.

This trail is well maintained and is a great way to get from east to west or vice versa on foot or bicycle. There is plenty of signage guiding the way, and giving a little history on the railroad that formerly used the route.
